Well for the Heat there is probably some concerns over Bosh. Spo's system doesn't require a 100 million dollar man at PF, just someone who can shoot, and won't be too bad at rebounding the ball or at defense. I know the Heat just won, but Bosh scored 0 points. 0 fucking points in a game 7. I'm sure there is some speculation that Bosh will get traded, maybe for a stretch 4 that I described and a capable C that can defend and grab the boards. Unfortunately Bosh's trade value is at an all time low. Also Wade is a year older and I think it would be safer to assume he will be injured in some way in the playoffs than play healthy. Do you limit his minutes to around 25 a game and sit him out sometimes ala POP?

Also predictions for some head coaching vacancies:
Hollins-LA
Shaw-Denver
Karl?? No idea but the talk of him going to Memphis doesn't make sense to me. Hell Shaw going to Denver doesn't really make sense to me.

What about the Hawks? Did they find a coach yet?

BTW what will your nets be doing this off season?

Well I don't know if Blatche is resigning since he played very well last season as a back up C. Hopefully they try drafting a stretch 4 or signing a stretch 4, and getting some depth at SF. Kidd reportedly said in the interview with Billy King that he wants the Nets to play much more fast paced which is awesome because that was probably my biggest complaint last season, with Wallace playing a sort of point forward, but then I don't know who starts at SF or if JJ starts SF and we go really small. With the money spent up we probably won't do too much, but Humphries expiring 12 million dollar contract will be HUGE and will probably get traded before the deadline unless he really steps up his play.

I don't think the HEAT will repeat as composed.

They are AN EXTREMELY OLD TEAM (oldest in league behind Knicks??)..... with limited trade assets, no draft picks, and no cap space whatsoever.

They do have Lebron, but a veteran cast can become the over the hill gang in a blink of an eye.
Battier, Andersen, Miller, Allen, and Haslem will all be eligible to play in the 35 and over YMCA leagues.

They would do themselves best to try and trade Chris Bosh and dump all those old veterans.

With Lebron and Wade, they should still be able to contend while getting younger.

If they hang on to the core, it could become a franchise killing loyalty.
Lebron might look around and see a bunch of guys close to 40 and leave in 2014.

They have to copy the Spurs and rebuild with youth "on the fly" without losing 55 win seasons.

...............

IT can be done. But, the management has to be ruthless with the fan favorite old dudes.

As a Spurs fan, I saw how my team gutted a lot of fan favorites early to rebuild while Duncan, parker, and Ginobili still had game.

They spent 2008-2011 quietly dumping Horry, Finley, Barry, Umberto, Bowen, Thomas, and all the other old roleplayers.

They quietly stockpiled young assets such as Hill, Blair, Splitter, Green, Joseph, and Leonard two years earlier than necessary. The loaded up on using 2nd round picks to stockpile European future players. I think they currently own the rights to 6 of the top 10 European players as we speak.

They dipped a little in 2009 and 2010, but they were still 50+ win team that did it correctly.
It was a smart move that probably gave the Spurs another 5-7 years of contention from 2011-2015 at least.

Miami would be better served to rebuild a bit TOO EARLY rather than TOO LATE.

Rose returns to the Bulls.
Rondo returns to the Celtics.
Granger comes back to a young and improving Pacers team.
Howard and CP3 might go to the Hawks.
Bynum probably comes back to the Sixers if he can play.

The EAST will be about 1000 times tougher to win in 2014.

The WEST will be slightly easier, especially if Iguodala, Howard, CP3, Jefferson, and Millsap disperse to the eastern teams.

I have to agree with that. I think Shane has to go, I know he played great but still one game out of how many? They need to replace some of their older players with younger players, see what they can get from Bosh, and really limit Wades play until the postseason. I believe no team except the 60s Celtics have ever made 4 finals in a row, and the reason is probably from wear and tear. Lebron may not be human, but Wade Bosh and the rest certainly are, will you see them play worse with all those postseason games? Can they survive another grueling postseason getting hit by teams like the Bulls and Pacers? I guess we will find out.

Greg Oden remains interested in signing with the Miami Heat this offseason as he attempts to return to the NBA.

"The Heat need some size, that’s not a secret," agent Mike Conley said. "Whether it’s in a backup role or whatever, he could help them. I know they’re interested in him and he’s interested in them."

Conley expects to be in touch with Pat Riley when the offseason formally begins.

The Heat have the taxpayer mid-level exception starting at $3.183 million but some of that money may be needed to re-sign Chris Andersen.

Shane will and should be back. I believe he had his best shooting year this season but struggled in the playoffs as last year it was vice versa. He only has 1 year left on his deal and is retiring after next year most likely. Miller may be amesty and bird is a free agent.

Chris Bosh is due 20 million and then 22 million over the last two years of his contract. This has me concluding two things.

1) I dont think anyone will trade for him
2) I dont think he is opting out after next season.

Same goes with Wade. lebron does opt out and monetarily it makes sense.

Anyone who honestly believes Miami should move a core piece is wrong. they are back to back champs.. you dont start blowing up rosters that do this. it would be retarded. a tweek here.. a tweek there. maybe amnestying miller and getting a MLE to bring in someone else.

either way i trust Pat Riley to make the minor tune up moves the roster will need. but overhauling the roster and messing with chemistry of a back to back championship roster is lunacy.

What im interested in is where does Howard land. Im hearing Clippers, Houston, Dallas, and Atlanta. Not to much on the Lakers though.

Where ever it may be, I just hope it is the western conference. I think he comes back alot healthier next year and very dominant. Him in houston with Harden could create an instant western conference contender. him on the clippers with CP3 and Blake... not sure how monetarily this works.. but if it does, i am officially scared for miami.

Honestly none of this concern except for Rose returning to the Bulls. Rondo coming back to a Celtics team who may be without KG, Pierce, and Doc doesn't concern me at all. As for Granger, I think Indy will use him as trade bait so they can finally have a true PG running the team as Hill was a turnover machine.

Howard/CP3 going to the Hawks doesn't concern me either. Honestly the only way it would concern me if if they're able to keep Josh Smith. That team would be fighting for HCA in the first round with NYK and BK if only CP and Howard goes there.

Bynum is not that much of a difference maker that he's going to transform a crappy Sixers team into Eastern Conference contenders.

The math has been done and way too many players they would have to unload to make it work.

No chance Howard and CP3 go to the Hawks.

Howard resigns with the Lakers if he's smart and can grow a pair to play under the microscope/heritage of the 16-time champs.

If he smarts he signs with the Rockets. There's too much risk involved if he re-signs with the Lakers

The Lakers are notoriously "closed mouth" about negotiations. Chances are that even if Dwight already told the Lakers his intentions, you won't hear much until he either re-signs, is signed and traded or just walks away to another team. Anything that you do hear is likely to be someone speculating rather than anyone with "inside information"!!

A rumor that is getting kicked around out here is Griffin and Bledsoe for Dwight. This is based on Dwight and CP3 texting back and forth re: their desire to play together and the belief that CP3 is almost 100% to return to the Clippers.

Whatever the case, things are going to get real interesting beginning July 1st!!

:agree: It would be incredibly rare (as in, I can't think of a team that has done it) for a team to break up any part of the main core of a team coming off of a championship. While Bosh may not have played well in the finals, the fact is that he is part of that core and it is very unlikely that he will be moved. The Heat will likely move a role player or 2, but that's about it.

I know you WANT there to be too much risk, but that's just not the case!! Worst case for Dwight if he re-signs with the Lakers is that they play next season with much of the same team (hopefully healthy this time) as they had this past season and then re-build around Dwight via free agency next summer.

Not all that risky!!
