Soooo...this is interesting...

Colorado's Deion Sanders fired by son for role in Shedeur's NFL Draft slide, according to Shilo

Headline is misleading...

Apparently, Shilo was projected as a 5th round pick, but had to sign as a UFA, so he fired his agent (Deion).

5th round pick ? Did anyone ever watch Shilo attempt to play football?

Not sure what you think this proves? He interviewed poorly and teams decided they didn't want him. How is that different from what anyone else said?

That he wasn’t the 6th or 7th best Qb in the draft. Gms and coaches likely wanted to draft him but the owner said no. If it’s about talent and etc then he goes 3rd round at latest. There were other non football factors that led to this

He didn’t just interview poorly, he told multiple teams not to draft him and he told the rest to be prepared to make changes if they drafted him. F that guy.

I think he’s a top 4 qb in this class imo

A top 4 QB in a weak class is a back up.

Steven A Smith was right in comparing this situation to Kaepernick.

Where he was wrong though?

It isn’t that he was blackballed. Neither was Kaep. Teams don’t want their back up QB to be a controversial figure. Can’t have that guy making waves in the locker room.

The only teams who rightly should have been considering Sanders are teams who aren’t committed to a starter already.

Here is all I need to know about this honestly. The Steelers need a qb as much as anyone and Mike Tomlin is as much of a player coach as there is in the league. He just is. I simply won’t buy that Tomlin was told no if he wanted to stick his neck out for the kid. He didn’t,

There are 32 teams.

None were willing to stick their neck out for him in a league where talent at the QB position is the most important thing a team can have.
