It wouldn't be talked about if it wasn't for the Watson deal. That killed the FO and owners' reputation. They would have more money, more cap space now and in the future. That move tore down every good move they made. The only way to recover is for them to basically do a 180 and then draft their franchise QB in the near future.
No doubt need to find that QB but I don't think any reasonable fan should kill an owner going all out for a guy many teams went all out to get..........especially those who badly wanted them to make the move before it was made (not saying that's you) because they thought Baker not the guy and of course thought Watson would play like he did in Houston.

Darnold to Seattle, 3 years 110 mil, half guaranteed

A good gamble at 3 years, imo.

I'd feel better if they hadn't traded DK

If he has figured things out, which is how it looked for the first 16 games, it'll be a good pickup and maybe he can start having the type of career folks thought he would when he was drafted.

If he looks lost like he did in the last 2 games, then it's only a 3-year deal and they can bring in someone else to take over next off-season or the following.

Anything the Steelers gained by getting Metcalf they are going to give back when they sign Rodgers I think.

I loved DTR as a developmental guy. Then he got Clevelanded. Tanner McKee is likely the Eagles back up now and DTR gets cut
I mean he was what you'd expect from a 5th round QB in years 1 and 2 (maybe even better year 1) but sure.
