Now that deal seems like paying a guy for what he did and not what he can do anymore.
Until you look at the details.

More likely Russ.
All the top qb’s got paid…unless I am missing something. Maybe someone gets new money kinda like Allen did. He was already extended but they added on a couple years for more money. Is apy is higher now
Maybe I’m mistaken but I thought that was the cap hit pre-extension as well. This extension didn’t open up cap for 2025?That's less than $60M per, which Dak is already getting for 2025. 6/330 is 55 per, even with Burrow/Love/Lawrence. Josh's cap hit for 2025 is now $44.7M. Will be interesting to see how the rest of the contract is laid out.

Nice deal the way it is laid out. $14M cap hit in 2025 and they have an out next year. I didn’t think it was great initially but not bad for one year essentially

Like most everyone else he wanted the money and Steelers gave it to him.Thought he wanted a stable QB situation?
Yep.You left out oft-injured and broken. Still hurts as I am definitely a Kupp fan.
Adams isn't getting 30M. His cap hit for 2025 I believe is $14M (8m base plus 1/2 of the 12M signing bonus), more or less.
Honestly didn't even know what happened just knew he was not playing. what happened (to Meetchie)?Total lack of continuity. Like why the fuck did Gayle and okepka leave lol
And then they add Meechie back and he bitches out
oh well...glad have an owner who is willing.Browns ruining the market for everyone.....again.
and since willing to admit if I'm off base I did and now doesn't look as bad. Now go back to crying about Myles deal for those poor teams/owners.Until you look at the details.
oh well...glad have an owner who is willing.
cry more though.
It's always good to have an owner who will spend...but he may want to consider who he's spending on. He gave that fully guaranteed contract to Watson and it hasn't exactly worked out.
Garrett might be worth that money, but I wonder how much that may affect other potential moves.
It wouldn't be talked about if it wasn't for the Watson deal. That killed the FO and owners' reputation. They would have more money, more cap space now and in the future. That move tore down every good move they made. The only way to recover is for them to basically do a 180 and then draft their franchise QB in the near future.Exactly what I was going to say.
Snyder was always willing to spend. That wasn’t his problem.
Doesn’t matter if you spend on the wrong guys.
Not saying Garrett is the wrong guy. He is great. But that is a lot of money to pay a defensive lineman.

Don't want Holtman back but most guys stayed and he could recruit. Maybe it's time for a more prolonged search?
Hindsight obviously you undo that Watson deal if able......but pretty much every team wanting to win and needing a QB went after him. The fully guaranteed aspect is so overblown. I mean, would still be a bad deal if 80% guaranteed. I'd guess whoever got him was going to need to up it to that or close to that %.It's always good to have an owner who will spend...but he may want to consider who he's spending on. It is...but just a few mil more than the next guy, isn't it?Exactly what I was going to say.
