Thoughts on the only full game I saw (Browns-Washington).....Have to say liked what I saw in very limited time by Watson on Friday. Fairly easy drive to the 1. Couldn't punch it in but also ran basic run plays with the 3rd and 4th string RB. Small sample size and preseason so doesn't mean much. Also no Cooper, Bitonio and Chubb...guessing some Commanders on D not in.

1st team D looked pretty good for us. Thought their offense looked good under Brissett. Really wish there was a way to keep him as the backup but I get we likely could not pay him what he wanted nor give him any chance to start barring injury.

Thought DTR again looked good. No clue how they all look in practice but he's easily the best I've seen among the backups.

That Johnny Football doc was actually really good. Definitely see how athletes can be turned the other way even with so much promise and talent. It went from 0 to 100 quick for Johnny Football.

A freshman to beating Bama to Heisman.

I think they pulled punches to be honest. They had a great opportunity and they left a lot of meat on the bone. It was like they let him off the hook in just glossing over some of the more fucked up shit and how many people along the way enabled the guy.

The real work starts this week with the joint practices. The model seems to have changed and now NFL staffs seem to value the week of joint practices over using the preseason games for evaluating and getting guys work. Kind of wish that somebody would do production for release on Thursday putting together footage for the fans of those workouts. They seem to have the most value. For instance, Hurts real coming out party last year wasn’t in any preseason game action; it came from word coming out of joint sessions of his ability to dominate defenses in the joint practice week.

DTR looks like QB2 right now and it doesn’t look close imo. It’s preseason but still
