Can only hope another cancellation (or UC?). Not a huge deal if not in CCG as we still play someone.

On a talk show after they announced it (think it was Cowherd) there was a suggestion that tOSU try to schedule aTm. I guess the Fighting Kiffins have a Covid issue, so that game is also cancelled.

They beat aTm and they can say fuck the CCG, they may very well be looking at the cfp.

BIG has said no OOC games...but also once said no games period so guess they can change their minds. could also change their mind and allow OSU in CCG even if they don't play 6 games

Not really necessary, as no CCG not really a big deal for them as they still play someone next week (guessing Iowa or wisky) and if they win I think they are in CFP. Game would probably help TAM a lot more than it could OSU (obviously, only TAM if they win). I'd rather play them than not play anyone, though.

Yeah at one point the PAC said the same thing, but ended up allowing OOC games after all. So they can definitely change their mind.

My guess is either OSU plays this week or they just let them in the CCG with 5 games. Anti OSU fans/media will complain they got special treatment, but that's what is best for entire BIG and if another BIG school was the premier team they'd get the same treatment.

You guessed right; they're letting them in. Seems only right, even to a (gravely diappointed) Michigan fan. The only ohter team even close in the East is Indiana and OSU beat them head-to-head.

would have preferred they just shuffle schedules and give OSU a game this weekend.

I would have preferred Michigan pull the stunning upset and send Indiana to the conference title, but we can't always get what we want (also see UM still paying Harbaugh).

you see Ward is definitely out on Monday?

and Hooper might be too with some kind of neck injury from practice?

ughhhh.

so i dont even know who are defensive backfield is right now

i sure hope they just solidfy the playoff spot and Ward and Harrison are back sooner than later.....the defensive back field is just a mess.

is Greedy just done for the year? if you count Delpit as the other starting safety--- literally all 4 CB's/Safeties for the Browns are out.

thats not good.

"The U" gave up 62 points to North Carolina. lol

i love that they have just crumbled as a program.

they never recovered from losing to the Buckeyes in that national championship.

3rd tier team.

Still Mitchell as the CB1. Also, KJ as CB2. At the beginning of the year he was projected CB3. Both safeties down so Sendejo, Redwine and Joseph. The secondary has been thin all year but the spurts Ward goes down it’s insanely thin. Crazy

it would be nice to win a playoff game this year --- but i kind of doubt it happens.

this year has reallybeen a huge step forward and anything more than a 10 win season would just be icing on the cake

we really have a lot of optimism for next season though....

they have a ton of cap space. OBJ will either be back or traded for something (i am sure they could at least get a 2nd rounder)....Delpit will be back.....we shall see on Greedy but i think he will be back. Billings will play.

and they can shore up the linebacking core and get some depth on the defense.

I really think Delpit/Harrison would be a nice safety combo.

The d-line is going to need some work though since Ogunjobi and Richardson are both FA's.

i wonder if they bring either or both of them back. Richardosn has been very solid and seems to have found a home here. Ogunjobi is definitely younger and has had some nice moments.

I dunno.

With the offensive line, the backs, baker taking some nice steps, and Landry the offense has a nice core....you are right when you say they could use a receiver (especially if OBJ isnt back).

but it seems that this is definitely more the beginning than anything.

Not looking good for Greedy to come back is everything I hear. My guess is Ward is back next week and we'll see Harrison before end of reg. season. Hopefully just a week for Hooper and Njoku and/or Bryant can step up.

Guessing DBs are Joseph, Johnson, Redwine, Mitchell and Sendejo. Latter has actually stepped up last couple game.

at this point I just want a playoff spot as well and want to avoid KC round 1. Don't care how many wins or how it gets done.

I'm sure they'll upgrade the D in offseason (as really don't need to make any significant moves on O. But as you've alluded, also should get the guys back you mentioned AND Billings who sat out the season.

I'd say assuming they get there (and are healthier) they stand a decent chance to beat anyone other than KC. Not only will they have a lot of cap room, but few teams will be able to afford any elite FAs (we could probably sign 2 if they want).

I don't know about OBJ and the plan with him. I doubt they'd just give him away and also doubt they'd even get a 2nd at his price, coming off injury and teams strapped with cap likely going down. Plan might be sit him down and show him what can be done in this O if he can just run precise routes.

Guessing they sign either Ogunjobi or Richardson...also have Elliot and Billings. at WR guess is they resign Higgins and Hodge and maybe bring in a decent #2-3 guy to compete or a rookie.

as for your last line, a friend of mine said it best.......It’s looking at the Jets, the Lions, the Jaguars, the Falcons, seeing they have a multi-year rebuild to relevance staring them in the face, and realizing “that’s not us any more.” We no longer have a future to look forward to. We have a present.

Just saw this on redzone. Mike Nugent's back in the league kicking for the Cards.

I don’t think the Browns are going to beat KC in the playoffs.

However, their roster is kind of built to do it. They have all the needed ingredients.

You have to be able to run the ball to beat KC. Not sure anyone does that better than Cleveland.

Defensively, Cleveland has a couple pass rushers too. If they can play coverage in the back, pressure Mahomes with the front 4 and run the ball to keep it away from the Chiefs O, that is the formula.

And I am not sure anyone in the AFC is better equipped to do that than Cleveland is.
