For those that scoff at girls basketball (just about all of you), I question how some of you are able to look at yourselves in the mirror at night.

Tonight, my first Q&A recipient played in a sectional game and got her 1000th point, with two broken wrists.

Not scoffing at girls basketball.

We are scoffing at you.

Once again i forgot people can't improve. You must be the same exact person you were 30 years ago. Impossible for people to grow
I agree completely with this statement. Allen is still young (age 49). Some HCs are just flat out horrible, but some are held down by inept organizations. The Raiders when Allen was HC was a horrid franchise (completely aware the Dolphins suck).

Bill Bellichick was a mediocre coach in Cleveland, got a 2nd chance in NE. Now he's going to go down as arguably the greatest HC of all-time (possibly in any sport). Pete Carroll crashed and burned in NE, went to USC, came back to the NFL in Seattle and won a SB (almost a 2nd).

It's just like any profession, people have their ceilings, but can adapt and learn things. It's the stubborn ones that don't go far in the coaching industry. If Allen's adaptable, I'm sure he'll be fine.

I love the Bengals story but it is hard to see them winning on Sunday.

They need bad Stafford to show up IMO to have a real chance.

Idk how they slow down Beckham and Kupp then don't know how that oline stop Donald and the boys from living in the backfield
Only hope is if Burrow plays out of his mind. Helps that him and Chase have played since their college days so that chemistry has been well established already. But yeah, I think the Bengals are underdogs.

I think Aaron Donald wins SB MVP.

So she head-butted the ball in. Hell of a way to score her 1,000th point, that's legendary

8-28 and we immediately improved in Del Rio"s 1st season

But I will be here and watching next season. :D
Dennis Allen may turn out to be a complete failure as a HC. But bk's point still stands - coaches can improve over time. Just like in any profession, people grow. I know I'm far more experienced being in my field for about 15 years compared to where I was in year 3.

Probably a pepperoni with anchovies on half, pepperoni and sausage and either a Margherita or a New York style cheese pizza.

I ended up making pizza for dinner after we were talking about it yesterday. Went with pepperoni & banana peppers.

To be fair...it's not like Belichik is gonna say..."It looks like the Raiders plan on having the #1 pick in the draft for the next few years, because that guy has no clue how to coach a football team".

Having said that, he wouldn't be the first coach to show marked improvement when given another shot.

We are talking about a guy that couldn't get his texts straightened out lol (or was intentionally stirring the pot).

Belichick had his team at 11-5 despite being the Browns, but was then torpedoed (and cast aside) by the process of the Browns running to Baltimore. Modell killed that final year in Cleveland.

Pete Carroll was .500 or above in each of his 3 seasons in NE with two playoff appearances.

Both are not good comparisons to Allen.
