He's gonna leave a team whose receivers were so good it forced Jameson Williams to transfer in order to play if he was good enough to beat out Stroud? Even without Olave and Wilson we are littered with stud WRs.

It was planned day one man.

Just look at Joe Burrow. Dude was an also ran at osu...transferred and then won a ship

He had to wait one year for CJ and bailed.

Yeah...a 17-18-year-old who has everyone telling him he's the best ever didn't just maybe think he could win the job over a kid who had never thrown a pass in a college game.

Saw Stroud is the real deal and was not gonna ever take that job from him.

Isn't to say I blame him for leaving. We knew there was a good chance at least 2 among Stroud, Miller, McCord and Ewert would go.

Well, Flores just torched his NFL career.

Not smart by Flores. He better win or better have been really smart with his money because it's probably going to be a minute before he gets another job. He's a good coach, but he ain't sue the league and a couple of teams and still be able to work in the league level good.

This is also an unintended consequence of "The Rooney Rule". A team already knows who they want to hire, but then you have folks interviewing for a job they have very little chance of getting because they are required to interview a minority. I'm a little surprised there hasn't been a lawsuit before this.

I've never been in favor of the Rooney Rule, it's a mockery and puts candidates through unnecessary processes where they know they're interviewing for a job they likely have no shot at.

But yeah, I don't even see Flores being in the NFL after this. What he said regarding Ross probably was true and of the Dolphins as a whole. But going after the Giants as well is just plain awful.

Have to give it up to Flores. He went scorched Earth and annihilated all of the bridges he built in the NFL. Dude must have an air-tight lawsuit on hand. If not, welp.

Is it bad I'm hoping he wins simply because it could force Stephen Ross to sell the team?

58 pages is the length of the lawsuit, sounds like he has a lot.

I don't even mind the rule itself. But if a team already knows who they want, they should be able to just hire them. Or, let the person know prior to the interview that the job is gone and ask if they want to interview anyway. If it's someone who hasn't been through a head coaching interview before, it could be a good experience for them.

I had that happen to me once. Walked in for an interview for a promotion at a place I was working at and was told they already knew who was getting the job and asked if I wanted to interview anyway to see what the interview was like. I obviously didn't get that promotion, but I got the next one and was told that first interview had a lot to with why.

If it's true he was offered 100k for each loss......it would seem the owner would have to sell.
For something like that, Ross is likely going to receive a huge fine and lose some draft assets. Doubt they'd make him sell the team.

But, Flores is taking the stance of racism existing in the Phins organization. If that's true, then we could start seeing him forced to sell.

I doubt anything comes of this though.

From a Phins fan perspective, it's clear Ross was aiming for Joe Burrow. I do find that a bit refreshing and for a HC to mess that up, win some meaningless games, then yeah, you better win (which he didn't).

The Bengals basically sucked worst than us, got their QB, and are now in the SB.

So anyways... one of my students challenged me to a game of 1-on-1 basketball... and I finally played him today.

I'm 41... about 5'10" and 160 lbs... I used to play B-ball all the time in my younger days... but now I have 3 kids, 2 jobs, play rarely and am kinda out-of-shape.

The kid I played is 18... about 6'0" and 190 lbs... he's not really a hooper but he's an athlete who plays football and lacrosse... he does weight work and is in good shape.

I didn't stand much of a chance... the 30 pounds of muscle was just too much in a 1-on-1 game... I couldn't keep him away from the basket area and easier shots.

It was fun, though... and a good kick in the butt. I'll try to get in better shape.

But man, it sucks getting old! ;) I remember when I could take time off from sports and just show up like it was nothing... now I'm sore and achy. :D

Anywho, you can see why these NBA players hit the weightroom like they do... that extra muscle is everything on the court.

Maybe he should have taken Herbert over Tua?

I told you all Herbert was going to be a lot better, and people said I was crazy.
People said crazy for saying Herbert would be better than Tua? Cannot recall many thinking Tua would be any good but if you want to take a victory lap have at it.
