I'm not sure about Pete calling Russ. Russ's exit from Seattle was fairly contentious and I'm not sure how much of that involved Pete.

Pete will likely want a run based offense, that will help whatever QB you guys get.

A few months back on Pat McAfee Russ had some kind words to say about Carroll....

So if it was contentious when they split up that may be water under the proverbial bridge now.

I trust RW more than Darnold. Darnold showed at the end of the reg season and playoffs he is who we always thought he was.

We improve the O, get a RB and I think we focus on running the ball and Russ could find some success. Let AOC learn from a vet like RW and he could be the future. Maybe.

I don't. Russ isn't that guy anymore.

Also, after leading them to a 10-3 record to start...the Steelers lost their last 5 in a row with Russ starting, including their playoff game.

I also don't dismiss the previous 16 games for Darnold. Those last 2 games weren't all on Darnold either. They were high pressure games and pretty much the whole team melted down.

No question that Darnold didn't play well, but no one did.

Both calls were soft.

1 benefitted the Chiefs, the other the Eagles.

Saying otherwise is being dishonest.
