Found this on CFB board. Pretty interesting...and true

For a conference that had 9 ranked teams in the preseason, the SEC's success against other conferences on the field has been unimpressive. SEC teams beat Clemson three times, and that's the sum total of the conference's wins over ranked non-conference opponents for the entire season. Meanwhile, SEC teams lost to, in no particular order:Navy, Michigan, California ( Southern Cal x2, and regular Cal once), Oklahoma State, Georgia State, Toledo (by 24), Louisville (by 24), Miami (by 24), and Ohio State (by 25).

That's just about the definition of overrated.

The SEC definitely had a down year for sure, but this also reaffirms my and most likely many other’s beliefs that preseason rankings don’t mean shit.

Bama loses to Michigan

South Carolina loses to Illinois

As I said all year long, the SEC wasn't that good as some on here made it seem

Not only did Bama lose to UofM they were also missing some starters on defense. Announcers mentioned that.

Death, taxes, the perpetual gargling of SEC’s balls by the media.

Both are Big 10 school.

The other good conference.

But most seem to think SEC is better than the BIG...a lot better. Based on...well....nothing, really.

Let's see a 7-6 team that went 4-5 in the big was 2-0 vs. the SEC...

Shit...maybe USC should have gone to the SEC after all.

We'd be conference champs.

B1G dominated the SEC in bowl games.

So far both of the schools on the borderline of the CFP lost to lesser teams. Maybe if Ole Piss destroys Duke they could make a case for themselves but it is not looking good for the SEC.
