OK? But they may have given those teams home games if PSU stayed home.I doubt it. You need to realize what the committee thinks of Penn state as is. They look at them as a weak team and got beaten by the only good team they faced. Assuming Notre dame wins this one, they will give Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Ohio State a home game before they give Penn state if they lose to Oregon. Put it this way they don’t look at Penn State much differently than they do Indiana. Teams who got to 10/11 wins by avoiding most of the big dogs in conference play
I don’t think anyone think they are beating Oregon on a neutral field. We can solve this by making a friendly bet since you feel very strongly that they still are hosting a game if they lose to Oregon next week. Let’s make it happen
I never said they WILL host a game if they lose to Oregon but they certainly could.....there's also that crazy notion they could win and get a bye. You made it sound like there's just no way losing the game doesn't hurt them and of course ignored the notion they could win.
Do you really think this is a game PSU would like to sit out given the choice? are there some instances that might be the case? Yeah, a team with 2 losses might not want to risk a loss knocking them out altogether.
