I heard about Michigan getting Underwood. My best friend is a huge Meeeeeeechigan fan....

You're saying you think the OSU recruit s overrated?

Idk but I'm leery because of the comp he has faced.

Almost all the guys who come out of Ohio are D1 or catholic school guys who qualify for lower divisions because they can recruit, bellfointaine is a small rural public school.

Oh okay.....I hope he's horrible now that we are in the same Conference.....and don't look forward to the first time we play.

We're actually competing with Rutgers, Minnesota, Purdue, Illinois, MSU, NW, Maryland, etc.

I also think his ranking comes from OSU jumping on him early Day and his staff saw something before everyone else, probably because of proximity. They never really went after the Findlay kid (d1 school) who ended up at Georgia

Recruiting rankings is dirty business. It’s time for contracts in college pro football.

Yep. If Underwood bails on Michigan he should have to pay that back. So not to harp on St Clair even more, but i can guarantee he has come along much cheaper given OSU put him on the map and not vice versa.

All that said, i spend far less time on freshman recruiting anymore, with transfers nearly as important.

@trojanfan12 is Maiava the apparent heir to Moss when he leaves or could a recruit coming in replace Moss?

How good is Maiva?

Maiava is a redshirt sophomore, so he's potentially got 2 more years. He's pretty good. He's not as accurate a Moss, but he has athleticism that Moss doesn't. He made a few plays in each of the last 2 games that Moss just isn't going to make. He's kind of Caleb light when it comes to avoiding the rush. He's not as big and strong as Caleb but has a lot of the same elusiveness.

The QB room could be interesting next year. There were rumors that Moss is going to transfer, but he was on the sidelines for the last 2 games so who knows if there's any truth to that. They have a 5 star QB (Longstreet) committed for next year, so if Moss and Maiava both return and Longstreet keeps his commitment, there could be a good battle for the starting spot.

They just need to get back to the true purpose of tackling...getting the fucker on the ground. lol

Seriously though, I remember being taught to "chop down" the ball if you're tackling someone from behind, but now they're drawing their fist back and throwing an actual punch. Maybe make the rule that if you miss, you get kicked out, fined and suspended just like you would if you were actually trying to punch them.

Make it same as the punter rule.

If you block the punt but take out the punter after…

All good.

If you miss the block?

15 yards.

Not sure they need the fine and suspension on an attempt at the ball. But yeah, it probably needs to get flagged 15 yards when they miss.

Yep.

I mean if you are going to take issue, it shouldn’t be with the Cowboys.

It should be that the Giants were selected as the opponent.

Giants were always going to be bad this year. This game would have projected as a beat down if Dallas lived up to expectations.

My issue with the Cowboys is that they are force fed onto the networks as America's team despite not winning a Super Bowl this millennium.

"HERE WE GO (home early every year)!"

Look, I am obviously not a Cowboy person at all.

But they absolutely at least seem to have the biggest fan base nationwide.

And we aren’t talking about band wagoners either. Top teams always going to have people rooting for them nationwide. Cowboys always get that whether they are good or not.

It isn’t force feeding, the Networks correctly give them air time because they have a huge following.

Like the Lakers in the NBA.
