What the hell is going on here? Had to make a separate thread for this

Gordan Hayward gets a max deal,

and now Bosh gets a 5 year $118 mil deal, What's going on here?

Revenues are up, teams have money to burn thanks to the current CBA, & 2014 is a weak FA class.

Hayward is an RFA. So if any team wanted him, he was going to get paid. He is getting more than his value because that is the only way steal an RFA from their Bird rights team.

Bosh on the other hand, is just a classic case of Miami trying to save face. They couldn't just let him walk & trot out a team with Wade & a bunch of role players.

Yes. Both sides will look for it. The Owners are always up to get more from the players. But this time, the players really have something to fight for. Revenues will be way up once the new TV deal gets in and they got fucked pretty well last time. They should look to fight back and gain some ground they lost

It's a 3 year deal with the 3rd year being a team option I believe.

I've always thought that after the Kardashian debacle, Humphries hasn't gotten his fair shake as a player. He's a decent solid back up big man. I think his contract for what he brings is a good value.

I stand corrected, 3 years for $13 million isn't too bad for the guy then. I could have sworn it was a 1 year deal.
