Series Thread: NBA Finals: Warriors vs Cavaliers

I picked the Warriors in 5 but I also think that this game flattered to deceive the Warriors a little. The turnover ratio was REALLY lopsided and that is unlikely to stay that way.

When Pachulia is tossing up no look layups into the net, the Warrios are invincible.

I suspect a much closer match on Sunday with the Warriors winning late in the game.

I have no doubt LBJ can be better, but what about the rest of his guys? They were suffocated on defense & they didn't respond well. They only have 3 more games to turn it around.

I think the problem is they weren't prepared for the level of defense that the Dubs brought.

I wonder if the Cavs will ever be prepared for the Warriors defense? The Warriors can still play better on offense and if they do, then this is going to be a short series.

Agreed, he's the X factor. But the Warriors played really good defense tonight.

I heard he was searching for the defensive "switch" that supposedly was already flipped.

I was wondering if he was just off or if the Warriors did something differently with him in the second half becaue he was not the factor he was in the first half.

Goodness they beat them 56 -30 in points in the paint.

I agree. I don't think they saw that at all in their trip through the East.

Kyrie had a bad 2nd half. No question about that. Love actually did was he should do. He finished with something like 15 and 20.

Was Kyle Korver a healthy scratch. I just looked it up and he played 20 minutes and I don't recall seeing him play at all. He was invisible.

The Cavs are outmatched. Their only chance is Lebron being inhuman.

My hope is that the Dubs realize they don't need the "fancy" passing. Just make the simple pass & get the job done.

yeah but you gotta love how they adjusted in the 2nd half. when i heard they were only 3-13 from the 3 point line and missing what were mostly bunnies in the paint my thought was " i KNOW these guys'll adjust"...

and look what hey did in the 2nd half...

They had bigger defenders on him. I think the strategy was smart. LBJ isn't the closer that Kyrie is so never letting Kyrie get into rhythm played in their favor.

Most of us already knew Kyle Korver wasn't going to be a factor. Reason being is they eat him up when he has to defend ANYONE. So much so that they can't really keep him on the floor. Advantage Dubs. Now, they don't have a sharp shooter on the floor & really the only other 3pt shooter is Love whom is being guarded by KD and/or Dray and/or Klay. Advantage Dubs.

Call me crazy, but in past years Love was a liability on defense against the Warriors. Now the Cavs really don't have another big to go to..


Cavs have to match the intensity. But I'm not sure about Love on the floor on the defensive end

Of course. This game was just like many of their other games. They start slow and the score stays close through the 2nd quarter. 3rd quarter is when they warm up, break out & show out. They did that tonight.
