Why do people say (tweet) stupid things like this:

duncan will be a top 5 player of all time if he beats miami

Duncan can't beat Miami alone. Just like LeBron can't beat the Spurs by himself.

This will take every starter on the court. Every guy off the bench.

For both teams.

Why do so many people not get that.

Both Lebron and Duncan's legacy's are intact. Duncan's the best PF in my mind already. I have him at no.6 though on my all-time list - Jordan, Magic, Kareem, Shaq and Kobe edge him out in my opinion.

Paul George is better right now.
K-Leonard is more valuable for the future though.

I honestly believe that Timmy, Tony, and Manu are hiding how good K-Leonard is....

He would be a 22/7/3 guy with all-NBA defense if he was the Alpha dog.

He has the incredible luxury of developing slowly as a #4 option.
Paul George is forced to be the #1 for Indiana.

Hard to say. But I'm a big fan of Kawhi's. Just not this series. I hope he has a miserable series against Miami, but I'm reaching.

Man this will be a nerve wrecking series.

One thing I hope the Heat learned from last year (which it seemed like they did on games in 6 &7) is to not leave Danny Green
Which reminds me...he was legitimately on his way to winning the FINALS MVP last year. I completely forgot about that.

No surprise. He been picking against the Spurs the entire playoffs.

That just means Barkley dislikes your team more right now. He's been picking against Miami since Lebron and Bosh came to Miami. This is the first time he's actually picking the Heat.

I've also included different elements for this series compared to last year's dynamic:

1) Wade's not injured this time around, unlike last year.
2) Gary Neal is no longer on the team. He gave the Spurs a significant spark off the bench.
3) Manu looks to be playing at a high level right now.
4) Parker not so much.
5) Bosh looks to be out of his funk....so far.
6) Neal is better than Patty Mills. But Patty Mills gives stability as a backup PG.

Let the debate begin.

Edit: Horns, you're correct. Boris Diaw is playing significantly better.

I actually like starting a series on the road. I'm actually much more laid back when Miami start a series on the road compared to in Miami because I know we have 2 chances to win 1 game and take HCA compared to seeing HCA disappear by losing one of the first 2 as the team with HCA.

:agree: they always player hard to steal a game on the road. After that protect home court.

I agree. Miami tends to get complacent. Being the underdog (like they were against OKC) might actually help.

Spurs and Heat both did something no other team has ever done.

Beat a team in the playoffs that had swept them in 4 regular season meetings.

I might be a homer, but I would take Kawahi Leonard over Paul George

K-Leonard would be able to score as much if he was asked to do so...

SA doesn't need him to score like George, but he will one day.

:laugh3: Leonard over George????? :laugh3:

I wanna say Spurs in 7 however watching this playoffs I noticed few things.

Lebron is just to strong. He can take over a game, hands down the best in the league right now. Only Kobe could rival that skill the last decade.

Spurs are sound, teamwork, fundamentals but if that gets shook up, they can struggle.

I think the Heat will rock this and will be shocked if they don't win it in 5.

Leonard is one of those guys who is better on the court than his numbers would suggest.
