MIAMI is a cerebral team.

Despite all the glitz and south beach glamor, there are far more intellectual quiet guys on Miami than brash trash talkers.

They are actually a bit nerdy like the Spurs. They don't really get involved in bulletin boards stuff.

I think any so-called guarantee by Duncan is completely irrelevant.

I highly doubt we will have any more sniping like Indiana trashtalking.

SA is a team of introverts.
Miami is pretty quiet and respectful as well.

I may be wrong but they might be getting tired of playing teams from Texas in the Finals.

The Heat look less tired than the did last year that is for sure. Wade has been looking great and fresh. The Heat, though, have had an easy path to the finals so they could be looking better than the really are because of the lack of competition.

Heat should be fresh and confident. Last year they limped into the finals after the 7 game war against Indy.

No home court this year, but that doesn't really come into play unless there's a game 7. I kinda like Miami starting on the road first, because now they get an opportunity to steal one and flip the series.

Wade is much better than he was this point last year, we are fresher, and Bosh enter this series playing great basketball.

This will be the first time in 4 years together that Miami will be the underdog in a series.

The HEAT are healthier than last season team.
The SPURS are better than last seasons team.

It is an interesting dynamic.

It probably comes down to Kawahi Leonard/Dwayne Wade.

Whomever of those two makes a greater impact will win the series.
Both are capable of completely and utterly dominating in their own ways.

One thing I hope the Heat learned from last year (which it seemed like they did on games in 6 &7) is to not leave Danny Green

I might be a homer, but I would take Kawahi Leonard over Paul George

K-Leonard would be able to score as much if he was asked to do so...

SA doesn't need him to score like George, but he will one day.

OKC was a nice break. My blood pressure is sad that it's not them (OKC) going to the Finals.

This is the Heat 5th final in 9 years. Absolutely amazing. I never thought the days when we were winning 25/ & 36 games that by the time 2014 came around we would've played in 5 NBA finals

You're not a homer. I'm leaning that way. George has a higher ceiling. But IMO, Kawahi is like Tim Duncan in a SF body. He does everything right - great defender, rebounder, solid scorer. Paul George just has that ability to get an insanely hot shooting streak. Something I haven't seen in Kawahi, yet.

I think Leonard is stronger, a better rebounder, and a better defender, but he doesn't have the offensive arsenal that George has to score 20 + ppg consistently.

Why do people say (tweet) stupid things like this:

duncan will be a top 5 player of all time if he beats miami

Duncan can't beat Miami alone. Just like LeBron can't beat the Spurs by himself.

This will take every starter on the court. Every guy off the bench.

For both teams.

Why do so many people not get that.

Paul George is better right now.
K-Leonard is more valuable for the future though.

I honestly believe that Timmy, Tony, and Manu are hiding how good K-Leonard is....

He would be a 22/7/3 guy with all-NBA defense if he was the Alpha dog.

He has the incredible luxury of developing slowly as a #4 option.
Paul George is forced to be the #1 for Indiana.
