Is Patty Mills under contract for next season? If all the pieces return the Spurs have to be favorites again. Unless age finally catches up to Duncan and Manu. With their performances, if Riley can convince Bosh and Wade to take a substantial pay cut, and Lebron takes a few million less, I can see Melo coming to Miami, whether its a good thing or not. Wade had a lot of rest this season. He clearly is a different player. Either way this Heat team needs to get a lot better, but I don't see Lebron leaving this season. Theres not a lot of options unless he wants to return to Cleveland...

I gotta see what happens because a title contender can be made overnight these days...but as it stands right now, SA is the favorite next year imo.

Kawhi "Lebron Stopper" Leonard gets the MVP!!

No offense, but not sure if calling Leonard "LeBron Stopper" is very accurate. I can't stand LeBron, but he didn't lose the series for the Heat. He averaged close to 30 points and shot 60% from the floor and 60% from 3 point land.

Miami lost the series because Wade is a shell of his former self and Chris Bosh would rather throw up long jump shots than take lumps in the lane.

Quite satisfying to watch the Heat get pummeled like they did. Going to be even more satisfying to watch Heat fans jump off the bandwagon when Lebron jumps ship after he opts out of his contract and leaves for the next team he has a shot to tag along too and chase more rings. Staying in Miami isn't going to do him any good. Bosh and Wade are role players now -- not superstars.

My god what an ass kicking

Yeah, that was bad. Expected a much better series. I think the last 4 years just caught up to them and the Spurs were playing some of the best basketball I've ever seen. That's a bad combination.

Reporter: What did you tell Kawahi?

"I told him. To hell with Tony. To hell with Timmy. To hell with Manu. You go and get yours...."

overnight title contenders?

the last 13 NBA finals' series have been played between the same 10 franchises

It's not accurate. I was kidding because Leonard was the one guarding most of the series. There's no such thing as stopping Lebron, but Leonard made him work for everything he got and made him give up the ball more than he probably would have liked. That's as close to a "Lebron Stopper" as anyone is going to get.

Every time a player has some kind of success against a superstar they are called the stopper. There's been a Bird stopper an MJ stopper, a Kobe stopper, so I decided to have fun with Leonard being the "Lebron Stopper".

I mean if Carmelo goes to the Bulls they are INSTANT contenders in the East. If the Lakers miraculously turn the 7th pick into a trade for a really good player, who knows what happens if they put together the right roster. If Ibaka gets a post game, and Thunder get some shooters, they can contend. So much can happen between the draft and free agency
