A lot of Pelinka's decisions in the offseasons were questioned......he has to be feel vindicated.....we won, even without Bradley's defense.

To be fair, I think most Lakers fans questioned some of the moves as well. Not that he made them, I think we all understood what was still available after they didn't get Kawhi...

But he did put together a versatile roster that allowed the Lakers to match any style a team wanted to play. If a team went big, the Lakers had bigs to throw at them that were more athletic and in AD's case, also more skilled. If a team went small, the Lakers could match that and still be bigger than the other team.

The question, and it was legit, was whether or not those players could provide enough help to win a title.

Turned out, they could.

Who said they were finished? In fact, I specifically said that this finals trip "shortens the learning curve" for the Heat's young players.

You misunderstood someone else's post. You posted shit that wasn't accurate in response to that post and now you're trying claim things were said that never were to try to save face.

Giannis is the better player, the fact that AD just won a ring is why some are calling him better as of today. It’s a recency bias thing. Remember people calling Kawhi the best player in the game?

Giannis is the better player,

He could be and probably will be. But he's not there yet.

He doesn't have AD's range, ball handling skills or passing skills. He's a slightly better defender than AD and stronger in the paint.

His lack of ballhandling skills and range is a big part of why the Heat were able to beat the Bucks. They were able to build a wall, flatten him out and keep him out of the paint. That severely limited his offense in every game.

Because of AD's skillset, the Heat were never able to consistently limit him.

You could make a case, based on numbers. But Lebron was the driving force that got them this title. Plus, they likely factored in Lebron doing what he did at age 35.

There is a difference between playing good and leading a team to a championship and getting Finals MVP. Lebron is now the 2nd oldest Finals MVP ever...Kareem at 38 was the oldest.

1. Kareem - 38 and 54 days
2. Lebron - 35 and 284 days
3. Wilt - 35 and 259 days
4. MJ - 35 years 117 days
5. MJ - 34 and 116 days

So yeah TLance is right...we haven't seen a player at this age dominate in a postseason run and in the Finals like MJ and Lebron has played in the NBA for a couple more years than MJ did at that point. Amazing.

I think if you swap AD for Giannis.....the Bucks would have made it to the ECF at least and maybe even the Finals.....AD's ability to score from the perimeter would have helped them a lot. And he's a great passer and would have found the open man when doubled. And his defense.
