im a little drunk and fucking pissed off so i'll refrain from leavin some thoughts on the game, because i'd tear the entire team and coaching staff a new one. Yeah, that sucked. The crowd was dead silent after the 2 run homer by Ruiz, and pretty much stayed that way from then until the bottom of the 12th when they got a couple runners on. Just sheer shock. Brutal. Matt's postgame press conference indicated that there will be a change in the closer role, at least in the short term. My money's on Storen.

Counting today's games, if the Nats go 11-12 the rest of the way, the Braves would have to go 17-4 to tie. They've struggled against the Braves and Phillies, no doubt. They'll be fine.

So now if the Nats go 11-11 the rest of the way, the Braves still need to go 17-4 to tie. I get as worried as the next guy, but we have to remember this is not football. Baseball is a game of streaks (which is what can make the playoffs such a crapshoot), and I think we get a little too worried when there is a mini bad streak. They just came off a great run, so it's not surprising that there's a little down stretch now. Stay the course. Have faith. All will be well.
