As I said it? I said no such thing.

But if you want to frame that having only 1 pick in the first 65 and just 3 in the first 105 gives you plenty of options for filling in the gaping holes in that roster, you do you.

Seattle will have 4 picks before Denver has their second. If the season ended today, that 4th pick would be 17 picks before the Broncos 2nd.

You can't sugar coat how fucked they are.
Gaping holes? Their biggest weakness is Offensive Line and that’s only because over half their line is practice squad players and 3rd stringers because of injuries.

Denver has 19 players on IR including 7 starters but ya go off on how many holes they’re gonna have to fill next season.

And you believe you can get as much from that one late first rounder as what they lost in their natural slot right?

They could not only take SF's slot, but the next two after that and still not equal the pick trade value of the 3rd overall.

And I've seen enough Broncos game this year since laughing hysterically at Russell is must see TV. That offense around him stinks. If you think nothing but returning players from IR is going to magically fix it, then don't let me burst your bubble. I guess that twenty something overall pick is sending them to the SB next year. Congrats.

I've seen a lot on twitter that Sean Payton appears to be the front runner to go to Denver. I don't know how accurate that is.

It's probably because he's the big fish in the pond, but I highly doubt he'll bite that hook, not with the mess Denver looks like.

You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about, the Broncos are only missing a 2nd round pick this year(nowhere near considered “draft capitol trouble”) and their cap space is anywhere from $13-20 million depending on what site you’re looking at.
We'll you weren't able to add to your cupboard since you missed out on (2) 1sts and (2) seconds last draft and this draft coming up so depth and talent didn't/won't get added... And secondly, your QB's enormous contract hasn't even kicked in yet... If I was a coach, I'd steer clear of that situation unless I was a guy no one's heard much of trying to make a name for myself...

Needless to say, it's not a very pretty situation in terms of trying lure a big name HC to that situation... For example, would Jim Harbaugh leave his situation at Michigan for this situation in Denver?

They'll probably hire a fired Want to be HC again guy, like Bill O'Brien.

I honestly have doubts that Payton would take the Denver job. His phone will be ringing off the hook and I think there will be something more attractive out there but if not, he doesn't come across as a guy that will take a job just to have the job. The Chargers job would have been a viable option but now that they made the play-offs, Staley may be safe. But you never know with that situation. Arizona job could be out there as well. Can't see the Cards sticking with Kliff regardless of the extension they gave him.

Compared to other likely coaching openings, I would think the Broncos would be fairly appealing. Wealthy owners. A team that greatly disappointed due primarily because of A) bad coaching B) injuries and C) poor quarterback play. I could see a Sean Payton or a Frank Reich or a Bill O'Brien seeing this as an opportunity shine provided that they think that Wilson could be turned around. Certainly some risk with that but he also represents the best chance of an immediate turnaround.

Dan Quinn is being talked about.

Some interesting though

the #Broncos organization that expect Dan Quinn's candidacy for their vacancy to include bringing Brian Schottenheimer--currently a Cowboys Consultant

Schottenheimer, 49, is in his first season as an analyst with the Cowboys after spending 2021 as the passing game coordinator the Jacksonville Jaguars.

From 2018-20, he was the offensive coordinator of the Seattle Seahawks. Schottenheimer also served as the OC of the New York Jets (2006-11) and St. Louis Rams (2012-14).
