Looking at the depth chart - the Broncos are deep at TE, RB, WR, ILB, Dline and arguably at CB. There are guys who can make other rosters who will be cut or traded.

Isaac Yaidom - Bouye - Ojemudia - Bausby - Devontae Harris and Callahan back - Yaidom is yeah gone.

Demarcus Walker - Shelby Harris - Casey Jurrell - Covington (2 year guaranteed contract) - Purcell - Agim - Dre'Mont Jones - all make the roster before Walker. DeMarcus is on a serious bubble.

Winfree - Sutton, Jeudy, Hamler, Hamilton, Spencer, and Patrick - with a slew of guys like - Cleveland - Hinton - Super Zamario - who all play special teams. My buddy Winfree might hook on with another team.

Bonus - TE - Fant - Okweugabunam - Beck - and Vannett are most like to make the team - leaving Butt, Fumagalli - Fort and Heuerman talents who likely won't make the team.

You forgot to mention Duke Dawson at CB. Not ready to call Yiadom gone as he will have a chance to turn his career around in camp, but he is surely on the hot seat and no longer gets the 3rd rd pick free pass.

I got the yeah gone line though. ;)

Would Winfree actually be a "surprise", it is hard for me to come up with what I would call "surprises", looking at the roster.

Have no fear on Winfree, he can likely go on our PS, so that helps give him some extra time here.

If I had to pick 3 players off last years team who contributed that end up cut?

Jeff Heuerman
Isaac Yiadom
Jake Rodgers

I also wonder a smidge about Diontae Spencer if we save a roster spot and give Hamler the return duties? We might not want to put Hamler back there though because we want him focusing on WR and he figures to have a big part of our offense this year, and with the 2 extra roster spots this year saving one on a return man seems more possible. But then I also wonder if Tyrie Cleveland becomes a valueable specia teamer for us who can help us right away he is going to take someone's spot on the active roster. I fully expect DaeSean Hamilton and Tim Patrick to be on the roster to start the season.

As I understand roster spots 54 and 55 - they have to be exposed to waivers before they can take a roster spot. Winfree will have to learn a special teams skill to be on the practice squad I think, because Cleveland - Hinton and Super Zamario all have special teams contributions to make.

You’re right on both. I do think we keep two WR’s on the Ps though. Most teams typically do. I’ve found that often players whom a team trade up for are harder foe a team to outright ket go in their first two seasons even if a late round pick. I think Winfree will be given more opportunity with a PS slot but he also has to earn that. Long term I don’t think it looks real appealing here for him. It is obvious to me Denver didn’t see enough of him last year to count on him this year. And he doesn’t have a role on special teams. However, players do improve and we will see what he comes up with this. Anything more than a PS spot will surprise me though.

Would be nice if we cut Yiadom and he went and signed with the Chargers and they end up starting him opposite Chris Harris so we'd have both sides of the field to pick on.

That would certainly be on of the most Chargers things they could do this year.
