My Week 8 NFL Predictions

Boy you took it on the chin twice last week, in the game and the picks...sorry, could help it...about time we held home field vs BAL...my picks went sideways last week as well.

We see this week about the same...I threw in a Jets upset, part wishful thinking, part thinking CIN is ripe for a loss. I think PHI will bounce back with Vick and beat NYG.

Last week was pretty brutal. I was on the wrong side of some close games (Detroit, Miami and Baltimore).

As far as the AFC North, I was telling people at work that I wouldn't be surprised if Cincy and Cleveland finished 1 and 2 with the Ravens and Steelers battling for 3rd. I thought the Ravens would take a step back but, I never imagined their Super Bowl hangover would hit them this hard. We still have another half of the season so, we're going to have to wait to see where it takes us.

Likewise...I did pick the Jets over NE, but bombed out on DET, MIA too.

AFCN...man idk what to think yet until I see a few more DIV games. CIN has the least amount of holes personnel wise, but some questions @ QB and imo the OC as well. They're winning but not looking real good doing it. CLE...I'm not sold on the OFC, the next 4 games (@KC, BAL, @CIN, PIT) will determine their season...right now I say they go 1-3 at best, could lose all 4.

BAL...I saw the hangover coming like you did...Ozzy tried to battle it by bringing in a lot of new faces, but Pitta was a big loss when coupled with losing Boldin to me...that middle of the field presence is not there with Clark & Dickson like it was with Pitta...no clue what's going on with the running game...baffling.

PIT...I think because of the bad start we're going to get the best of whatever this team and staff has after the 8-8 season LY. The biggest problem, OL play, has improved, with Miller back, and Bell looking like a pro RB, Ben has what they planned on him having this yr to work with so we'll see. On DEF, lpaying a 3-4 w/o a real NT, I think they will be okay, but nothing real special either.
