I didn't want to do it due to the image of the B1G and that I hate ND, but I think the Fighting Irish will win it this year. After listening to Mike Golic tell why he thinks ND will win, it kind of convinced me. I hope I'm wrong.

If I'm not mistaken, Nebraska returned a lot of starters when Suh went pro, but that doesn't mean that defense was as good. .

True, but the only other D that could be compared to Nebraska's was Alabama (National Champions). The 3rd best team was far behind Nebraska's and Alabama's D.

I'm not saying Nebraska's D wasn't good. Iowa's D was good Clayborn's senior year. They just weren't as good the 2nd year.
