Nebraska changed their defensive scheme and strategy last year. FSU has not done that.

My point with Nebraska was they could have lost a key player and the impact of that could be big on the defense. The point of the Iowa one was that even if they returned all the key players, it is hard to repeat the success. These were just 2 examples in the past few years that came to me.

OU has only lost 3 games in Norman under Stoops. OU is 14-4 coming off bye weeks with Stoops. K-State starts slow like against Missouri St. and North Texas, OU rolls. Otherwise it could be a close game but OU has that home field...

Yup. Sooners should win, but confidence can be a difference maker for Kansas State if the Sooners don't come out firing.

Everybody acts like experience is the great equalizer...well if they are just average players they'll get beat by better players most times, I don't care how experience they have.

I agree, but what if they are great players? Great players get better with more experience.

Experience needs to make a player grow. If it doesn't....well....

Maybe. I think Iowa players are more talented than Iowa State players overall. ISU had far more experience on their starting roster. However, Iowa's receivers couldn't catch a ball. ISU's LBs are good enough to cover Iowa's TE and stop the run.

So, talent doesn't always beat experience.

I understood what you points where, but FSU doesn't have one person that everyone focuses on for the D like nebraska did with Suh and our 2nd and 3rd string sare just as good as our starters. And while Iowa's defense was good during Clayborn's junior year, they were stellar.

I do get your ponit though that just because we are returning so many people doesn't mean an improved defense.

LAST YEAR!!!! The D was young last year when you played and they've had a whole year to get better.

Clemson's offense has had the same amount of time to get better.

Did Clemson lose any key players from last season?

They lost their whole offesive line except the center and their starting fullback? Don't think they didn't lose any skill players, but if you don't have anyone to block for them, it doesn't really matter.

K-state will be a good test for Oklahoma but I just don't see them losing this one at home. If this game were in Kansas I could see your prediction as being better.

True. The O-line is the foundation that an offense is built on.

Many of the questions I had were answered. It wasn't a typo that I had KState winning. But the fact that OU fans had answered many questions I had had an influence on me changing.

:happyshake: We don't start a FB, and we returned the LG and C. We have 8-9 players that can rotate in on the OL and haven't had many pass protection issues this year. If you're referring to the debacle that was the '08 season, we're four years removed and much deeper across the OL this season. Besides, if the QB is throwing off a three step drop it doesn't much matter how long the OL has to block.

That makes it a lot quicker for a CB and LB to get interceptions!!!!

You haven't played anyone know for pass rushing or defense for that matter. The site I looked up said that you lost both your OG's. It stated you lost your FB but you are correct in that there isn't one in the starting line up.

I wasn't refering to 08, I was just stating things in general. or was I?
