My Rant; :mad::mad::mad:

First, I am ashamed for the Big 12 conference!

Never in my wildest dreams or nightmares, did I think that on National TV, that the leagues slanted and over zealous attitude towards Nebraska departing for the Big 10 would perpetuate into a full blow one sided whistle blowing debacle.

I have been in and around football for a lot of years, and I have heard of such events, but never been part of one or witnessed one.

The way this game was called last night borders on criminal intent.

To be truthful, it reminded me of the old SWC conference type officiating back in the “good old boy days”

What do I take from this?

Absolute shock! (Millions of viewers and the refs could care less how they looked or how they would be perceived in front of the audience).

When did I know that this outcome was inevitable?

When they called Martin for a personal foul on a return and Bo went ballistic. He let the refs know that this was football and that it was a clean but crisp hit and the ref just smiled!

It was then that all those I was around, looked at each other and knew that this league has now stepped over the line!!!

That’s right, adult referees who have taken the game into their own hands and away from the college kids who have worked so hard to become part of what we all aspired to be.

Is it fair for the league to have a bad feeling for the Huskers?

Sure, FUCK EM.. SO BE IT!…… For the institution is fine, but not against the kids!

but the referees who have been placed in these games to insure impartial and fair outcomes have failed in their sole responsibility.

Should the NCAA infractions committee look into this?

Not sure this is the right committee for this type of deal, but someone sure in the hell should.

I come to this board and see that there is a you tube video of Cotton getting pinched while under the pile and I could not believe that someone actually got it on tape! He said as well as many others said that these guys (aTm players) were doing all they could to get us to retaliate and being the one penalized!

Was this part of the game plan by higher ups?

I have no idea but I can say this much, why would anyone has reason to doubt it now after seeing how things were in other parts of the game!

Will this aTm player be suspended or will ESPN show this dirty type of play to the rest of the World who did not see it?

Probably not.

I was always taught that if you do your job and do it well, the outcome would not be determined by bad calls, crappy weather or the poor clock management. Hmmmmm….

Could we have still won this game had we done everything right?

THE SAD TRUTH IS… WHO THE FUCK KNOWS?

What is to say that we had scored more, that the calls wouldn’t have increased or been more disturbing!

In regards to our kids not getting the job done, well; it is pretty obvious they didn’t, so to beat on specific kids and their downfalls would serve no purpose at this point… Would it….?

I know some of you may be all butt hurt by Bo being Bo and getting in the refs face or in our players faces, but this is not TO and never will be.

Bo has a warrior mentality and a mind of the same. He is an extremely proud man who wears his heart on his sleeve. Deal with it…. Get over your Fucking gay ass “The World has to be fair attitudes”

The World is not fair and Bo has these kids back all the way, he just expects the same in return.

I have posted it here for your consideration. Some of the data you may find useless, and possibly offensive, but I believe you will be perceptive enough to realize that even the data you disagree with have some value in terms of promoting your own further self-definition and insight. With That, I close by saying…

What is in store for us Friday and beyond,?

Very good post BRS - rep!!

I cannot believe Perlman has responded the way he has....I'm embarrassed by his lack of dedication to the coaching staff, the athletic dept, and the University.

I know what you mean and I'd probably agree if I wasn't so frustrated with all this but I think Bo was right and Perlman should either support him or say no comment. A poorly officiated game doesn't look good on TV either. Why save face when you've been wronged?

When I read this it makes me wonder if Osborne and Perlman are on the same page:

"Perlman spoke Sunday morning with athletic director Tom Osborne about Pelini's conduct, and the chancellor said he, Osborne or both would talk to Pelini about his decorum."

The problem is he was seen jumping down his own players throats too. With Martinez the only thing I can guess that was about was they have been preaching he needs to protect himself and he stayed in the pocket too long.

But for Perlman to say something like I am concerned about the appearance but understand the passion he has for these kids doesnt really hold water when he is grabbing them by the jersey and poking fingers in their face too. I can't say I would be any different, Hell I would want to knock out the ref. I am more a Carl type guy. Give me something to crush.

But I do understand the appearance it created. I just hope behind doors he is also talking to someone about the bullshit officiating and threatening to have the Pelini's show up on their doorstep in the middle of the night if it happens again.

I'm guessing martinez tried getting into the game without bo's permission- or said to put me in- "this is my team" or something to that affect.....

Cotton deserved to be yelled at........

Martinez- you can't defend him- or criticize bo because you don't and won't know the reason.....

Excellent post sir. I agree 100%.

As far as Bo giving Taylor the business. It isn't hard to figure out. Did any of you play organized sports? I'm guessing most have. Did you ever really piss the coach off? I mean really see him get pissed? What caused it? I guarantee Taylor did one of the following:

1) He was pissing and moaning on the sidelines about how he should be in the game.

2) He was pissing and moaning with the rest of us about the way the players on the field were playing. He very well might have said something about the way Cody was leading the team.

3) He was pissing and moaning about the play calling of Watson.

Any of the above options would bring hell upon any player by the coach and rightfully so.... I'm not saying Taylor was whining but was probably venting or frustrated and somebody told Bo or Bo overheard him. Bo, as Bo would, corrected that attitude.

If it the real reason comes out as to why Bo had his moment with Taylor, you will have a better understanding. No person has ever said Bo was a politician or would be invited to have dinner with the queen, but I can tell you this much... I would fight by his side any fucking day all day long... and so would every player who has come back and spent any time with him!

You don't have to worry about what side of his mouth he speaks out of, like you had too with Billy C (Used Car Salesman), and you don't have to worry about him talking behind your back, because he will say it right to your face!

Guys, he is not a hypocrite nor is he a suit that plays for the crowd, he is a blue collar coach who cares for his kids. I hope the administration doesn't tie his hands too much, but I am sure they will have their say...!

"if" Bo doesn't have many years left here and they fire him -- this program will sink to depths that nobody that follows college football has ever seen.

I think there may have been a misunderstanding here. That happens easily on message boards. I am not criticizing Pelini. Hell I likely would have been ejected.
As for Taylor others brought up scenarios I may have not considered but the bottom line is the same as my point, there was surely a reason we do not know.

My post again was not to criticize Pelini. It was to consider Perlman's perspective. He is in a political position and will have to play the politics. The appearance is there and has to be dealt with. It just is the way it is and hopefully while dealing with it he is also dealing with the officiating that was the root cause of it.
That's not saying Pelini was right or wrong though I do believe he will learn to not wear his emotions on his sleeve. He can not be seen on tv in his position screaming Fuck yous and Motherfuckers at the refs no matter how far they have their heads up their asses. And yes their were shots where there was no doubt that was the words being mouthed. I imagine this is what Perlman and Osborne will both speak to him about.

Again not criticizing him, well it may be but I understand entirely and guess Perlman will too. But he is in a position where he has to learn to bite his tongue.

And finally while this will be considered blasphemy I will say it because as I said in another post, I do expect to see changes in staff this off season.
I hold him responsible for us being in this position. Our entire offense relies on one player and without him there is no argument it sucks pathectically. Put an offense on the field where poor officiating does not cause you to lose games and poor officiating does not become so disastrous.

LOL!

I think Bo will be here as long as he wants....

..............but the want could change.....

......Should pencil pushing non-athletic bone heads want a polished speaking, pathetic pussy for a coach who does not have the kid’s best interest in mind.

I don't know about you all, but I will not go through another fucking coaching change to please the hypocritical thinking, worthless donors who feel like their higher education gives them a leg up on people like Bo.

I will take my leave at that point and I am sure I can make a few calls to some of my hombre's, who would say the same.

If they (administration) want to help Bo become more politically correct..... .....

......Fine, but don't neuter him, or you will lose him!
