I remember when the Oilers traded for Roli the Goalie in '06. I believe my exact words were, "Dwayne Fucking Roloson?!?!".

He's making me eat my words though. He's the Nick Lidstrom of goalies, only without the illustrious first 15 years of his career.

Roloson & the Oilers knocked out the Wings in round 1.

I hope Roli gets a chance to go to a contender. He's definately capable of being a #1 netminder.

Here's an even scarier thought for you. If Roloson hadn't gotten injured in Game 1 of the finals that year against Carolina I think they would have won the Cup. Ty Conklin did very welll under the circumstances but Roli was in the ZONE as they call it.

I was at one of the playoff games the Oilers played against the Ducks that year. Roloson was UNBELIEVABLE.

Props to the Isles...they're playing very well right now. Shutting it down defensively. Leads to really exciting games

When your team doesn't have as much talent as the other team you have to do something to give them a chance. So far the TRAP has helped but the goaltending has been the main reason for the Islanders recent success.

It's not like the Penguins didn't have plenty of opportunities. They had 38 shots & Letang was given a penalty shot.:p

They'll be in Calgary during this road trip. It won't be an easy two points for either team, since both are playing much better right now.

Yeah, they had plenty of opportunities...just frustrating to know you're "suppposed" to beat a team, but a goalie steps up and shuts the door. But, the Isles are stringing some wins together, that's impressive.
