I'd laugh my ass off if the Bengals took another guard in the first round -- I wouldn't be against the pick, but so many folks around here would be experiencing so much bitterness this place would be a riot.

BTW -- I thought the coaches were high on Boiling, but I heard he graded out poorly on that website that Marvin hates. Anyway, I know Boiling has practiced some at center - Maybe he would be moved if we had two first round guards.

Maybe Andrew Hawkins can play center?

It's highly, highly unlikely the Bengals take an all-BCS conference draft. I know they came close last year, but even that was an anomaly.

I'd be for drafting a lineman, be it oline or dline, in the first round every year. It's amazing how much better everyone else looks when they have a dominant line in front of them.

Just my opinion, but Andy Dalton seemed more responsible for the high sack number than the OL. He often held the ball way too long and was indecisive against the better defenses he played against. It always makes sense to stock up on olinemen, but unless they don't re-sign Andre their depth is already pretty good with Wharton coming back able to play either guard or tackle, giving them three guards for the two starting positions and a guy who can plug in at tackle if need be. Collins is also available at tackle, and they have decent depth at center, though I'm not a big fan of Cook. I would rather see them address an offensive skill position (WR, RB) or a LB early.

PFF pretty much wrote that on stone.

It was pretty clear to anybody watching the games that the offensive line was less a problem than Dalton in the sack dept. I'm not in favor of using a high pick on the OL at all. Later round depth is fine. Too many needs to take one early, unless Smith leaves, then fine.
