Obviously, I was very disappointed in last nights game. We all see different things. From my perspective, most of my chagrin was from what the Pacers did not do rather than what the Bulls did. Gotta give credit though. They started out working their offense on the perimeter and the Pacers adjusted poorly. Stephenson and Hill in particular. And Chicago certainly knocked down a lot of shots. Great night for them, but I don't see any real definitive concerns.

Chicago fans and Indy fans certainly have no love lost between them. I still remember after a bitter loss to a Jordan and Pippen led team (being the complete homer I am) how badly I felt we got screwed on our home court. Scottie Pippen said after the game he did not know if the right team won, but they were going to the finals. Not much solace to the Pacers or their fans, but I was impressed with his candor. Thought it might have spoken of some integrity as well.

I freely admit there are two players on the Bulls I absolutely hate. I am sure Bulls fans have their view on a few Pacers. But instead, I will say that I admire than dang Deng. That bastard always seem to have a great game against us. Contributes on both ends of the floor too. Taj Gibson is another that fits that mold. At this stage of the season, he is arguably the best player any team has coming off the bench.

Miami presents similar emotions. I freely admit I believe LBJ is the best player extant. I also admit I hate Wade and think of him as a thug despite all the really great things he has accomplished. Despite his recent issues, I have always had a grudging respect for Chalmers. He has consistently outperformed anyone we have put on the floor in front of him in our meetings.

In the end, all these guys are just great entertainers. And that is all it is. Probably why some pundits refer to the Sports pages as the toy section of the paper. But I do believe that the players respect each other and show it for the most part (maybe not Rose). I think we should take a page from their book and respect the guys on rival teams rather than spending most of our time trying to find clever ways to insult them. Or maybe not. After all, we are in the toy section.

If you are showing mutual respect for the Bulls I have to say the Heat are the favorites to go back to the finals.

You guys had a bad night on a back to back after winning 9 straight. Rose shot over 50% from 3P in a season he is shooting less than 35% from anywhere and is a career 31.2% 3p shooter.

To say this was fluky is an understatement. It is a little early to be giving out mutual respect, do you think the Heat gave mutual respect to Philly or Boston when they lost?

If Rose shoots 35% from 3p this year and above 40% every where and the Bulls show he isn't the only scoring threat on a consistent basis we should admit they are in the mix, not before. Do not TMZPN some overreaction BS though. 1 game, nobody wins them all.

Well, I meant that more in general than anything about last night's game. I should never get sober. I become introspective.

IMO, there were several things that happened last night. The Bulls came out hot. The Pacers seemed a bit nonplussed and overconfident. Being the homer I am, I saw a lot of bumping and holding at one end and some whistles for breathing at the other in the first half. When they undressed George and tried to anally r*pe him on a breakaway towards the end of the first half in full view of an unimpressed official, I changed channels.

Don't get me wrong, the Bulls are going to be a 3 seed, but they are not going to seriously compete with the Heat or Pacers in the playoffs. The Heat have the personnel and invented the blueprint to stop the Bulls and the Pacers are even better on D.

Words do not translate into action every time, but the Pacers seem a bit miffed today. They are hoping for another long win streak.

Oh, and I can now confirm my observations from last night. My Dad does not complain about officiating if he has a mouth full, but even he says the Pacers got ass raped last night. Vogel telling the players to shut up and quit complaining to the zebras was a good move. If you get technicals and fines/expulsions on top of getting ass raped, how smart are you?

Since most of you do not wish to respond to my posts (devastating as this may be) I would point out that my 89 year old father is a pretty perceptive judge of the game. Back a 100 years ago, we had something in Indiana called the Wabash Valley Tournament. My Dad was a point guard for a little team from Cory, Indiana. At that time, it was much bigger than the Indiana High School Tournament and teams from Indiana, Illinois and Kentucky routinely participated. I guess Cory might have had a population of about 200 people including outlying areas. Yet they finished second to a really good team from Illinois.

Me, nothing notable. I did play against George McGinnis in High School. I had double promoted a coupla times so was a pretty callow youth to play against that guy. Kinda like trying to guard a Sherman Tank. I did also play with guys like Quinn Buckner, May, Wilkerson and a few others. Well, I was on the court a the same time at least.

But yes, Hoosiers know and love basketball. Second largest religion in the state. The fact that the Pacers have been bridesmaids so many times since the old ABA days is hurtful to us for certain. But being Hoosiers, we tend to take these things in stride. OBTW, as a young boy, I saw the very first Pacer game. Saw all their ABA Championships. Still remain hopeful. Want to see them win one before I die.

this pisses me off so much about the Heat, Wade and LBJ bitching about every call rather than run back in transition. They seem to be better this year.
