Gonna have a game like this now and then when the bats just aren't going. The whole math of it all. Unfortunately it then makes you think about tough losses like Sunday.

I suppose it's easy to kick Walker around a bit, but once again a defensive lapse by Seager helps put a run on the board....and another later on chased him out of the game. TW wasn't "good" last night but he wasn't trash either.

No matter how mediocre CC is, this team can never hit him. Unfortunately they never hit Tanaka either. Hopefully Kuma has his A game today

Walker is such a disappointment. His stuff is so much better than his numbers indicate. The guy just can't put it together mentally.
I'm not giving up on Walker long term but I don't think anything changes this year

Just a pathetic performance all around. And how much weight has Walker put on? He's a cheeseburger away from looking like Bartolo Colon
I was saying the same thing to my wife during the game. It really makes you wonder how serious he is taking things? Ironically, I remember the moment I realized that Felix was not only taking it seriously but was gonna become the ace people had touted him to have the potential of being. He showed up to camp slender and focused, and bam, our ace had finally arrived. Before that had happened he too was a chunky mess with tons of potential. Taijuan may feel he has already arrived with the fame, some money, and the hot girlfriend but he is sadly mistaken. Dude needs to put down the burgers and pick up some weights or jump on a treadmill.

Getting shut out at home. What a way to end a terrible series.

Must have been the kind of game that would get people kicked out of sandlots.

Okay, so how do you overcome a botch-fest like THAT one?

Yankees wasn't going to be easy, they were only a few games behind us coming into the series... Sucks that they gained 1 game on us...

If I can only win my bet w/ my co-worker... I bet him a 12 pk of beer of choice that the M's would win 87 games this year... Last year, I bet him 90 games and obviously lost... Hope I can get my 12pk back...

Sad thing is, teams vying for a postseason spot don't normally get out scored 10-1 in 2 games at home in the midst of a pennant race...

Not a good series but it's over, and we're still in it. Dang near September and we are still watching baseball that matters. I'll take that even though these 2 games were blech.
