Sure, I get your feeling on it. But my feeling is pro athletes choose a profession where there home life is compromised for whatever amount of time that the season is going on. My co workers and I don't make 1/100th of what pro athletes do but if your wife is having your child in the month of December, you are shit out of luck. Has anyone ever seriously heard a child growing up being pissed his or her dad wasn't there to watch mom's vagina get torn apart?

You've heard of complications during childbirth? Let's say the worst happens and the mother passes while her husband is busy playing a trivial game in July. How would anyone be able to forgive themselves for not being there during something like that? We have 162 games. He can miss 2 to be there for the birth of his child. I'm really surprised this is even a real discussion.

looking at their lineup and it's hard to believe they've scored so many runs. Their base numbers for all their hitters don't seem that different from the M's. They must hit a lot better w/RISP.
