both keuchel and mccullers kept the ball consistently low and had outstanding movement, even for them. i'm not making excuses, but combine their excellent location with what both umps were calling strikes, and m's hitters had little choice but to swing at iffy pitches.
our starters didn't win, but they pitched pretty well, and the pitching staff has kept a very good offense to 5 runs in 2 games.
i hate it when people act like games early in the season don't matter, because they all do. but i'm not worried yet.
