Angels acquire Nick Franklin from Brewers
Really turned into a AAAA guy. He showed signs of life last season but has returned to crapland this season.Rotoworld BaseballVerified account @Rotoworld_BB 5m5 minutes ago

huge game for him. Would be nice if he could keep this going.Hopefully this is the start of a tear for Cano.
I spoke with him briefly a few times when the Rainiers were in Vegas. He gives off turd vibes. Was told he was a turd by someone that met him several times.
He has rookie status this season.Excellent start to the series/road trip. Miranda was fantastic again and the offense was hitting the ball all over the place. Nice to see Seager pick up where he left off on Wednesday and it looks like Cano is working on a home run binge himself. Gamel had a hell of a month of June and with Zunino cooling off a bit over the past week or so, I think he's closed the gap in the AL Player of the Month race. I can't remember if Gamel still technically counts as a rookie or not, but if he does I'd say he has a good shot at AL Rookie of the Month at the very least.
It is pretty crazy.Baseball is so crazy, and the AL even more so this year. We battle the Astros and end up losing two before getting swept at home against the worst team in baseball. Then we come out and show what we are capable of after a four game skid by putting up 10 runs. After all of that we wake up this morning only 1.5 out of a WC spot. We aren't out of it just yet because nobody seems to care about running away with that WC spot. Hopefully we can get at least one of the next two and maybe inch a little closer in the race. What a crazy year!
Everyone could be either a buyer or a seller which puts everyone in a weird spot. I hate that we lost Smyly and Kuma has had father of time catch up to him, but the silver lining is that we now know what we have heading into the all star break. Paxton will be inconsistent, Felix will give up 3 runs every outing but be solid, Miranda is probably the most consistent in my opinion (really the one I feel most comfortable on the mound right now), and the Gaviglio/Moore combo is gonna be what it's gonna be. IMO, we need to get bullpen help and maybe one starter, but sacrificing the future for the single WC spot would be foolish when at some point we would have to face Houston. To me it has to come down to our lineup, if they do what they are capable of doing we will win and if not we lose. Simple as that, so sit back and enjoy the ride!It is pretty crazy.
Looking at the AL in particular: Outside of Houston nobody is running away with anything. The only division with the lead not up for grabs is the AL West. The fact that the team with the worst record in the AL is only a 6 games out of the wild card is kinda nuts, they are literally a win streak away from being in it seriously.
I have a theory why its like this in the AL right now. I think most of the teams in the AL are very close together in overall talent, there are fewer completely terrible teams and fewer really good teams. More of the games are coins flips than usual, once the season gets deeper and a few teams start deciding to thrown in the towel we will see more separation. Might make for a strange trade deadline that's for sure.
My wife and I used to call him "Dark Helmet" cause of that big ass helmet he used to wear.
