part of me wants to see them go 1-9 or 2-8 the rest of the way. There is no excuse at all for a playoff worthy team to lose to a team of this caliber when you had an 11-2 lead. Not now, not ever.

I am so fucking pissed.

Another good reason we ditched cable all those years ago. The gamecasts online were enough to cause a blood pressure spike as it was.

If there's anything this road trip and today in particular has taught me, it's that the Mariners still have a culture of losing. There's no fire, no passion, if these guys lose it's just fine. If they blow a chance to make a run in the playoffs, or actually even making the playoffs, oh well, what can you do? It's been pretty disgusting listening to these guys just list out the usual platitudes while dropping game after game to the dreck of the AL. It all starts with the manager, but there's quite a few players as well that I wouldn't be sad to see go.

On a positive side, maybe it is good they are in a tail spin at the moment. The last time they had a tail they rattled off 14 in a row or whatever it was, and 14 in a row means WS champs…if I did the math right.

Well put and I am 100% with you on this. I loved Lou because he would never just say oh well we always have tomorrow or whatever Servais comes up with. I don't want guys jumping off bridges when they lose, but I am not at all a fan of this stuff you described perfectly.

I am not even sure what to say. What can you say. Their magic number to make the playoffs dropped by 3 in a 24 hour period but man.

Honestly the two games that come to mind is the 2001 game vs Cleveland where we blew a 12 run lead and the 2016 game against the Padres where we were on the other side and had a ridiculous comeback.

Anyway this is where Scott needs to make his money. Everything is still in front of them and bad streaks happen. Desperately need a solid homestand tho.
