Hot damn this is a good team. A couple panicky posts earlier in this thread, but I was really never that worried in this one. Just like watching the Hawks, I am now confident that sometime around the 2/3 or 3/4 pole, we are going to make a charge and take control.

Quality teams take full advantage of weaknesses in bad teams. After their bounce back against Baltimore and attacking that bad pen this really does feel like a different team than we have seen. Last year's squad would have turned that 3 game sweep into a 5+ game losing streak.

8 home games (3) Oakland, (3) Minnesota, and (2) San Diego.

It is time to start winning at home.
They need to complete this upcoming home stand at 5-3 or better.
Can't limp around at home for this series.

That is what I said a month ago (not mocking what you said, but agreeing with what you said with poorly chosen words). I am almost sold on using Cruz in the field again against RH's and let Lind and Lee play DH/1B respectively.

I'd bet they're giving Lind a couple more weeks before making a decision like that. It might be accelerated if there's a losing streak in the immediate future. We'll see.

I agree there has to be a point soon where you have to give Lee more chances.

Agree 100%. I am probably the first one that wanted him out of there, but knew that wasn't happening til at least the A.S. break if his struggles continued.

The other big factor in this is the obvious one; he is tied for 5th on the team in pay at $8M this year. I doubt they are ready to eat that after not even 2 full months.
