cruz was the only thing we knew we got that was an upgrade of any kind offensively. he'd have to bat while standing on his head to do worse than what we had at DH last year. i think that when he, cano, and seager all get cooking, they're going to produce a lot of runs. but boy is this frustrating to watch.

Seems they start slow every year in general. Scoring is down all over the league, but there was what? a 40 degree drop in temperature from cactus league to that first series? Not an excuse.

Despite so many picking this team to win the division, I think a lot of them still believed this team would do well to get into may at .500. Not sure how many expected a fast start.

Scoring would be nice!!! But right now I would like to see them get guys on base. If it wasn't for Seth Smith then we would be dead last in .OBP, as it stands now we are second to last. Nats are last going into today, and they are supposed to be good too. Its ok for the Mariners to start slow but at some point hopefully sooner than later they need to get going, otherwise it will be an awful season.

Personally I still think this team could be around .500 at the end of April. For all those media talking heads picking the Mariners to win the division, I am surprised they thought this team was that much better than last years team, I just don't see where they thought the extra wins would come from.

Hopefully the lineup gets it figured out quick.

This... The heart of the lineup is struggling... Especially the only hitter on the team that hits over .300 ,sadly enough... .136, .150, .180 is what we're getting out of the heart of the order... Thank goodness Ackley and Miller have been hitting well with RISP... I don't now where we'd be if it weren't two... LOL... Never thought I would say that... It's a good sign though...
