M’s lead the league in strikeouts, and have the worst team batting average in the league. They’re saying it’s the worst offense in team history, and we’ve had some bad offenses, but this one is taking the crown …

I actually enjoy the crying by Servais. He actually just makes excuses and says the same thing day after day. Teams go through streaks. They win several in a row and lose several in a row. We are in the bad part of the streak but it always changes. Blah, blah, blah.

Well to be fair he is kinda right. But when the losing happens usually teams don’t look like a AAA offense.

He kind of said a similar thing before the game yesterday when asked about why Julio in the 7 hole. He basically said he was going by feel and wasn't into the whole lineup metrics the way some others are and he looked at someone like he was saying they were that way when he said it and smiled.

He went out to look at pulling Kirby with 2 on and 1 out when he looked like he was struggling and ended up not pulling him. Batter knocked on a run and then he went back to actually grab him.

He does a lot by feel and that's fine if it works out more often than not, but I don't think any of us believes that's the case.

The way he said it means every team would be .500. Contenders win 7 in a row and may lose 3 in a row. Not win 7 lose 7. It doesn't even out. If it evens out we would be 81-81...which we may be at the end of the year.
