Giving him the benifit of the doubt as he's still young and will learn from it. (Hopefully)Vogelbach has Ackley Disease. Watch-Watch-Watch-Watch-Swing at bad ball-Take a seat.

I agree. He is really hard to watch, unproductive AB's from him. His approach doesn't make sense. I think he possesses the ability to hit well but the approach he is using is hurting him.Which is what we said about Ackley. Honestly, I just don't see much in him. I said it in spring when he was taking a ton of pitches and then just waiving at balls for contact. He is 300 lbs! Either drive the ball or pick a new sport. Just not a fan of his.
Yeah the first inning ended up being the difference. Gallardo did a good job the rest of the game though so that was good to see.Leave it to Gallardo to choke away a decent 3-0 lead. Man, let's hope de jong dont follow suit... need a strong finish on the road
I dont see much in him either but we'll see... two completely different hitters in ackley and volgelbach. Ackley was supposed to be a contact hitter that failed to make contact, volgelbach is more of a slugger. I do agree that his weight is an issue too and im not a fan of it but i'd like to see him have a chance so right now, the platooning situation seems to fit.Which is what we said about Ackley. Very possible, De Jong looks like he is chucking meat balls up there. Hopefully the M's can get a bunch of runs.could get ugly fast
As i said a few days ago... what happened in Anaheim wasnt a fluke and it was a precursor of what to come for the season if they dont make changes. this happen on a consistent basis and almost EVERY series, it's no longer "still early" -- it should now be "how the hell do i fix my pitching" for Dipoto.Bad innings are killing us.
If you really look at what the bullpen is doing, its really 2 or 3ish spots shared by Scribner, Fien, Marshall, Heston and Altavilla that have haunted us. Those guys keep getting swapped out for each other and are just getting massacred anytime they pitch.Tony Zych getting healthy takes one of those spots its early for him but so far he's been good. Vincent, Zep and Pazos have done their jobs thus far and Diaz has had the 1 bad appearance in LA.As i said a few days ago... what happened in Anaheim wasnt a fluke and it was a precursor of what to come for the season if they dont make changes. this happen on a consistent basis and almost EVERY series, it's no longer "still early" -- it should now be "how the hell do i fix my pitching" for Dipoto.
It's obvious De Jong is not ready and this bullpen, despite showing signs of being good is still very bad... guys like Fien shouldn't even be on the MLB roster.
