and ALL have had a losing season since 1998.

LOL at Pac

Boston College 11-3/4-8
Clemson 10-4/3-8
Duke 5-7/0-11
FSU 12-0/7-6
Georgia Tech 10-2/6-7
Maryland 11-3/2-10
Miami 12-0/5-7
UNC 8-5/2-10
NC State 11-3/3-9
Virginia 9-3/3-9
Virginia Tech 11-1/8-5
Wake Forest 11-3/2-9

Pitt 10-3/2-9
Syr 10-3/1-10

so, 3 teams without a 10 win season Duke, UVA, and UNC (lol at those 3), and 2 teams without a losing record in the last 15 years
i wonder how many teams can say their worst season in the last 15 years was 8-5?

also, to be overrated, you first must be expected to do big things...which the ACC is not

Florida State, Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Georgia Tech are always expected to do big things. I think Miami might get that expectation, but I think it the further from "The Call" it gets, the less they are expected to do.

The measure of "overrated" should be based on where teams are ranked to start the season and were they finish. Below is a sampling of teams who started out top 10 in the polls, but finished unranked.

A&M and Nebraska in 2011
Florida, Texas and Iowa in 2010
Oklahoma in 2009
LSU, WVU and Clemson in 2008

Big12 is represented well.

Are they overhyped, yes. However, I haven't expected big things really for any of those teams and I bet most of the posters are here probably think the same. Overrated and overhyped are not the same thing.

I do find it interesting that no ACC team has hit the 12 win mark since they added the 12th regular season game, and the only team to do it at all was the natl. champ FSU team in 99 (I don't count Miami as they weren't in the ACC for their championship run).

I voted Big 12 also .. Aside from OU (in most seasons), their conference is shit. Texas consistently underachieves and aTm will start receiving steady ass-whippings in the SEC << and they both recruit some of the best talent in the country. They do have their Baylor, KSU, and Oklahoma State, but none of those teams are consistently good. How can the ACC be overrated when everything thinks the conference is shit?? FSU and Clemson recruit with the best of them but consistently underachieve. VT does more with less .. but they don't finish. If those three teams EVER turn a corner, the ACC's top is just as strong as just about any conference's. I think that, in general, coaching in the ACC is sub-par.

yup 2 NC games in 5 years (with a coulda been 3rd is underachieving)

Texas is the only football program to post at least 10 wins from 2001–2009 seasons.
Texas is the only football program to post at least 9 wins from 1998–2009 seasons

freaking underachieving assholes ........

8 is close to 10 :D

just saying even teams like Ole Miss and MSU screw around and win 10 games every now and then. You can't go bragging about WSU's program

Lets go over facts.

10 win seasons in the last 30 years
Washington State = 4
South Carolina = 2
Ole Miss = 1
Miss State = 1
Kentucky = 1
Vanderbilt = 0

So it takes the 5 bottom schools to equal what Wazzu has in the last 30 years.

Top 10 Finishes in the last 30 years
Washington State = 4
South Carolina = 1
Ole Miss = 0
Miss State = 0
Kentucky = 0
Vanderbilt = 0
(Arkansas = 2)

So the bottom 6 schools in the SEC have fewer Combined Top 10 Finishes in the last 30 years as FUCKING Washington State...

Chose the SEC because of how insanely top heavy it is, yet we're led to think by the media that Mississippi State should really be ranked in the top 25 and they'll go 6-6 again.

They did go 9-4 a year ago and beat down Michigan 52-14 lmfao.

Being a hokie fan you are one to talk. Va Tech folds in every REAL football game they play. They probably would be 6-6 if they played an SEC schedule.

LMAO!!

Washington State has accomplished all that in the last 15 years.

I was using 180 years of CFB played by 6 schools to compare to Washington States 15 years.

10 Win Seasons over the last 15 years.
Washington State = 4
South Carolina = 1
Ole Miss = 1
Miss State = 1
Kentucky = 0
Vanderbilt = 0

WOW!!! SEC schools lose 2 10 win seasons and Wazzu loses nothing. I guess those 30 years HELPED SEC SCHOOLS STATS....

Top 10 Rankings last 15 years.
Washington State = 4
South Carolina = 1
Arkansas = 1
Missouri = 1
Texas A&M = 0
Ole Miss = 0
Miss State = 0
Kentucky = 0
Vanderbilt = 0

LMAO, Once again the SEC loses Stats when the Time Frame goes for 30 years to 15 years.

Washington State has more Top 10 finishes in the last 15 years than over HALF THE SEC COMBINED!!!!!!!!!
