I voted BIG10, but my vote could have easily been the BIG12 or PAC12 as well (but the PAC12 & BIG12 have atleast had real contenders recently).

I think with the SEC's dominance in the NCG lately, it's hard for any conference to be considered overrated - as they are all playing second fiddle right now.

Depends on how you classify conference I guess. Some people look at titles, some people look at the top of the league and some people look at the league as a whole. Arguments can be made that differ based on how you determine what conference means to you.

ACC and SEC kids say B1G is hyped. You are either jealous or out of the national discussion.

I voted Big 12 also .. Aside from OU (in most seasons), their conference is shit. Texas consistently underachieves and aTm will start receiving steady ass-whippings in the SEC << and they both recruit some of the best talent in the country. They do have their Baylor, KSU, and Oklahoma State, but none of those teams are consistently good. How can the ACC be overrated when everything thinks the conference is shit?? FSU and Clemson recruit with the best of them but consistently underachieve. VT does more with less .. but they don't finish. If those three teams EVER turn a corner, the ACC's top is just as strong as just about any conference's. I think that, in general, coaching in the ACC is sub-par.

Chose the SEC because of how insanely top heavy it is, yet we're led to think by the media that Mississippi State should really be ranked in the top 25 and they'll go 6-6 again.

my reasoning as well

and adding WVU and TCU just makes it even more overrated

Every conference has their good teams, average teams, and then terrible teams.

It's just that our good teams are better than your good teams, our average teams are better than your average teams, and our terrible teams are better than your terrible teams.

That's just my bias opinion.

Voted B1G

They havn't produced a national championship winner in 10 years. They are trending down the same path as the ACC who hasn't produced a winner in 13 years.

Are you talking in a given year or overall?
Overall the SEC follows that Model. Teams that are good (alabama, tennessee), average (arkansas, south carolina), teams that suck (vanderbilt, miss state). The Pac is the exact opposite.

Best and Worst record since 1998
Arizona - 12-1 / 2-10
ASU - 10-3 / 4-8
California - 10-2 / 1-10
Oregon - 12-1 / 5-6
Oregon State - 11-1 / 3-9
Stanford - 12-1 / 1-11
UCLA - 10-2 / 4-8
USC - 13-0 / 5-7
Washington - 11-1 / 0-12
Washington State - 10-2 / 1-11

Colorado - 10-3 / 2-10
Utah - 13-0 / 4-7

As you can see every team has won at least 10 games in a season since 1998, and ALL have had a losing season since 1998. I am willing to bet the Pac is the only Conference which can post all its members winning at least 10 games in a season in the last 15 years.

The Pac doesnt have any more poor programs. And with all the Money that is about to come in, I expect it to get even more competitive.

The only conference which, IMO, can be considered overrated is the ACC. They lose in every statistical comparison between the conferences. Not to mention the Greatest ACC Victory since 1998 has been Virginia Tech over Cincinnati. That is just mind boggling.
