Things might have changed when Wang sold the team, but he's still in charge for awhile yet. They had to overpay to sign Grabovski & Kulemin. The fact that both players signed was surprising to me though. I think once they signed Halak things changed as well. Now they have to find a way to resign Boychuk. Garth has yet to resign an UFA to be. If he can sign Boychuk it would send a big message.

I want Leddy signed before Boychuk. Don't get me wrong, I would love Boychuk long term, but I think Leddy is the rock solid defender they've been missing.

when the Bruins came into town here, there were alot of questions to players about whether the hate between vancouver and boston was still there amongst the players and it was funny because Lucic responded no because both teams rosters have changed significantly and both teams lost really good players ... his next comment was "we lost Boychuk" ... didnt name any other players which i thought was interesting

Signing Boychuk would be huge. Leddy was going to be a RFA so I knew he would be signed. Bob MacKenzie said something between 5.5 & 6 per year could get it done. Boychuk seems to like where he is, but I won't be surprised if he tests the market. He's a vocal leader who they obviously want to sign. However, Garth has yet to sign an Islander player who is going to be an UFA at the end of the season. I hope Boychuk will be the first. He's a huge difference maker. The Bruins should have dealt somebody else. I knew it was a huge acquisition when Chara seemed surprised by it during an interview just as the season was about to start. They miss him big time.

You know Boychuk will talk to Ference about what its like to "go home" ... you should pray that Ference tells him its not worth it lol
