More Turnovers.....

At halftime, Nebraska has 226 total yards to Northwestern's 107 total yards.

We are down 14-10.........why? Because we've turned the ball over 3 times and shanked a punt.

Nebraska would have somewhere closer to 300+ yards and Northwestern would probably be below 100, and it would be the Huskers taking a 3 score lead into halftime............if not for these turnovers.

These are individual mistakes that we cannot seem to get away from. You can see that the Defense is very prepared for this game..........but individually we can't get out of our own way.

We will not win this game if we turn the ball over again in the 2nd half.

JJM I like ya. But "would have" has never been enough no matter where you are at. Fact of the matter is we had to fight for this win. Good thing for us is we are Nebraska and used to a fight with refs on the road we over came. Rex hurt well it hurt. But we are Nebraska we should be deep enough and talented enough to reload. It doesn't make us a great team though. We are an average team at best, and we have played nothing more than average teams so far.

Seriously though, I agree and this is what we "pessimists" have been trying to tell you. It's something that is going to occur in every game. You can't just any longer say we will fix the turnovers and stupid mistakes......it's not going to happen.....when you evaluate Nebraska versus any opponent, you HAVE to (sadly enough) not consider those variable that may or may not occur, but static events that will occur every fucking game......

Do we have the talent to overcome the stupid mistakes and turnovers? yes, sometimes, but to ever think we are going to blow a team out just because we have more "talent" is just silly when all this talent also has mind issues and ball security problems to deal with as well.....

Everyone has been so negative that it makes my blood pressure go through thee roof.......I can't sit here and talk about why we're going to get our asses handed to us 2 hours before kickoff.

I don't think any of us that didn't think we would kick Northwesterns ass thought the Huskers would lose either.....maybe some.....

I thought we would win in a close (ie about a touchdown)......I didn't think it would be britches shittin close......it's frustrating watching this team kill itself time and time again with mistakes and turnovers.....

I've become accustomed to spotting Nebraska's opponents 14-17 points from the get go when trying to predict the final score. That is sad.

The media's going to drive the baffoon Pelini out of here. He's created too many enemies amongst them and the fans to last with poor coaching.

He's about to be strung up for the 4th week in a row and he's given the media all the hand they need this year. They own the condescending prick.

Fixing our issues is part of the process. It takes time for the process to take shape. And while the process is in it's process of succeeding we need to blame the players for not executing the process correctly.
