I think there's going to be a groundswell against Alabama this weekend...

Everyone sees the truth, and its BS if Bama gets in again. If we had a 16 team playoff, and Alabama worked their way back into the title game (wouldn't surprise me if they did), then I think more people would have respect for the situation...

But that's not what's happening here...instead, they're slipping in despite losing their big game, and without having to play their conference championship game

I think someone is going to pass them up this weekend...wouldn't surprise me if both Virginia Tech and Oklahoma State move up with wins while Alabama sits at home

according to BCS proponents, the regular season IS a playoff...

cant wait for their explanation if bama gets a rematch.

Oklahoma State is the team that will probably sneak in, but I haven't really heard a compelling argument why Virginia Tech shouldn't get more consideration as well...

If they were to blow out Clemson, I don't know why you wouldn't move them ahead of Alabama (possibly even Oklahoma State)

Thanks man. Not trying to bang on Bama, they are a great team but I just think we need to reward the actual performance of a team as opposed to our gut feeling on them. hell OU could beat the Cowboys by 20 on Saturday. If they do i will happily watch Bama-LSU again.

Agreed...that's why you see some sports writers comparing "bodies of work/resumes" with the idea of who's the two best teams...

The National Championship needs to be a National affair...if there was a rematch between Alabama and LSU, it should be within the SEC, for the SEC title...Unfortunately, that's not how our conference crowns champs, it matches two division winners...Bama lost, at best they should get a ticket to the Sugar Bowl (unless Georgia wins Sat)

We won, we should move on (assuming we win Saturday)

VT isnt real explosive anywhere. very solid, tho. I think they hang with bama, maybe beat them, but not LSU.

an okie st vs LSU kinda reminds me of the 95 NCG matchup. UF was scoring tons all season, but NU had their black shirts at their finest. UF got clocked.

Id say if VT destroys clemson, put them in the game. beamer can usually find a way to motivate lesser players to out play the 5* guys. otherwise, OSU deserves their 1st shot at the #1 team. bama had theirs and lost, period.

Circumstances in Tuscaloosa have affected our whole season, do you guys need to hush up with the okie tragedy thing.
There are a lot of parts of Tuscaloosa that are still just terrible.

Not saying the tornadoes weren't terrible, but didn't that happen back in April?

Yeah back in april but it's still bad in a lot of areas by the university and families are still affected and homeless

Every game counts, unless you lose to a 6-5 team...then you just try to pretend that didnt happen while pumping up a potential win over a team that lost to both Texas tech and baylor.
