I feel like everyone absolutely loves this movie, I saw it for the first time about a month ago and was completely shocked at how unfunny I thought it was.

Am I missing something? Or do other people feel this way as well?

Since you didn't answer, one again, what movie are you referring to?

Saw "Holy Grail" at a drive in. The chick I took was not understanding at all of my unwilingness to make out in the back of her car nor understanding of my howling and constant crying tears of laughter. Funniest... movie... ever!

Hell - even my grandsons love it. Had to burn them copies of my DVD.

What was cool about them getting on TV here was that Dallas was the first stop. Watched every Sunday night at 10:00 PM in 1974/76. Then I went in the USAF (76) and got to go to England where I actually learned what the hell I had been laughing at.

That's where I discovered Benny Hill... and the Two Ronnies... and Fawlty Towers. I cannot even imagine those shows not being a part of my existence.

yup,.....don't forget ''the marty Feldman show'' too,.....he must've got his own variety-show in 1975 right after ''young frankenstein''.

yup,....and smacking his tv-dad on the head [non-stop] was ''classic''.,....I remember watching ''chitty-chitty-bang-bang'' as a kid [benny was in it/a scientist?].....and then seeing him on the benny-hill/show chasing chicks/smacking their butts was mind-bogling to a 7/8-yr. old....!

Pretty much. Monty Python Movies are absolutely Fricking hilarious IMO.

Most of their best work was done before I was born. Hasn't stopped me from laughing my ass off thanks to 'em though. Monty Python is great stuff in my book.
