Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975)

I feel like everyone absolutely loves this movie, I saw it for the first time about a month ago and was completely shocked at how unfunny I thought it was.

Am I missing something? Or do other people feel this way as well?

There is no movie called "Monty Python". Therefore, you are probably one of the only people who feel that "Monty Python" was the most retarded movie ever.

Now, if you are referring to one of the comedy troupe's movies, well, you are still one of the only people with that opinion.

Holy Grail - 9/10
Life of Brian - 8/10
A Fish Called Wanda (though not technically a MP movie) - 8/10
Meaning of Life - 7/10

Flying Circus was just a compilation of the TV show, so I don't count that.

I don't care for any of the Monty Python stuff.

I attribute a lot of people's adoration for it to teenage nostalgia. So many fans first watched it on a bus trip with their team/club, or saw it while smoking weed with friends, etc.

Love slapstick, love a lot of kitsch, love most British humor, but Monty Python and Doctor Who are two UK staples I'll never get into.

basically if you stayed up past your bed time watching monty python on PBS on a little black and white tv to catch some titties I think the humor grew on you.

Dont even compare a fish called wanda as a python movie though.

All of the their movies are very funny and very sophisticated. Comedy a few years back was not stupid comedy like today. Farts and vomit didn't cut it back then. Monty Python will be remember for a long time. Neighbors, on the other hand is just sophomoric humor and not memorable.
