Monster Hunter (2021)

With their Resident Evil series over, director Paul W. S. Anderson and actress Milla Jovovich are out to adapt another Capcom video game franchise to film, this time the action RPG Monster Hunter.

The "Black Diablos" teaser for the film below claims a release date of December 2020, but that is possibly outdated (due to covid delays) or only for Russia; IMDB currently gives the US release date as Friday, April 23, 2021.

Eh I'm always down for a video game movie. They are either so horrible (Bloodyrane, most of the RE sequels, Alone in the Dark, Street Fighter), or so obnoxiously and stupidly hilarious or general cheese filled fun (Mortal Kombat 1/2, Lara Croft Tombraider 2001) that I can't help but watch em'.

Resident Evil 1 and Detective Pikachu I thought were pretty good, though. Either way, I'll likely watch this and be amused because my expectations will be EXTREMELY low going in and I need something to focus my mind on... I mean Jesus I was talking about banging the statues from Neverending Story this morning....
