Wait a minute..... Are you trying to say that the players in college football are better somehow than players in the NFL? I really hope that is not what you are trying to say.

Of course that's the case. Once the best college players make it to the NFL and you filter out the not-so-good college players, all the college studs get worse.

Patrick Willis was better at Ole Miss than he is now.

Revis was better at Pitt than he is now.

Brady was better at Michigan than he is now.

Rodgers was better at Cal than he is now.

Foster was better at Tennessee than he is now.

Repeat as needed.

I thought my post was pretty clear.

Oregon talent compared to rest of CFB=top 5.

Eagles talent compared to rest of NFL= not top 5.

Understand now?

So Kelly dominated offensively with vastly superior talent.

With moderately superior offensive talent, he won by 6.

When Washington stopped turning the ball over, the game became remarkable even.

Philly ran 53 plays in the first half. In the second half, when Washington did a better job taking care of the ball, they ran 24. They ran a grand total of 77. The NFL average is about 65. Nothing mind blowing there.

Philly had 322 yards in the first half. They finished with 443. That means 121 yards in the entire second half.

Just as you chose to argue that the Kelly offense was going to dominate the NFL based on a single half, one could argue that it took exactly one half of football for the Redskins to figure it out and shut it down.

Of course, arguing the Redskins figured it out in a half would be stupid. Making any argument based on one half of one game would be incredibly stupid.

Let's see how the Eagles' offense looks when the opposition isn't constantly turning the ball over.
Because Oregon had a vast talent advantage, the opposition offense didn't stay on the field, allowing Oregon to wear down the opposition defense. I don't see them forcing a lot of turnovers or three and outs vs Denver and Peyton in week 4. Even against KC in week 3 I don't see a whole lot of turnovers, limiting the amount of time Philly has to run plays.

It will be interesting to see how things work out for Philly when the opposition doesn't keep giving them the ball in the first half.

I'm also curious to see how guys with histories of being injured (McCoy, Jackson and Vick) hold up to a frenetic pace and so many touches.

McCoy only played 16 games his rookie season. Jackson only played 16 games his rookie season and never even averaged 4 catches per game. Vick has played 16 games once in his 10 seasons, and the most he has played in Philly is 13. All 3 of those guys are undersized for their position with Vick and Jackson being considerably undersized.

I'm not saying that the Kelly offense won't be successful in the NFL. I'm simply saying that declaring it be something wonderful based on one great half might be jumping the gun.

I was thoroughly impressed with the first half. First time really showing what they were going to be about, and game time Monday Night, you might think that they were going to start out slow. Granted as stated it was a half, but it was very good. Especially when you have McCoy on two of three fantasy teams. C for the second half, and the defense wasnt as strong. Skins made a fight of it, and it wont be an easy game next time either.

This is the big thing for me. If they could have stayed hot in the second half I would have been much more impressed. But when Washington kept Vick et al off the field by not turning the ball over, Philly didn't look all that special.

Eagles will be overrated tomorrow morning... Redskins however, I think they might be looking at a .500 year if RG3 doesn't sharpen up his throws.

Oh God I hope not. It'll put them in good position to get a great offensive lineman like Lewan, a backer like Barr, or a safety like Clinton-Dix. I don't think they'll go receiver anywhere in the first 2 rounds so that may be a good news knowing that Watkins or Lee won't end up in their roster.
