Let's go Bryant! One of my favorite 49ers of all time.

Rogger Craig and Bryant Young should have a solid chance. Lots of good names on this list. Chris Carter, Tim Brown, Michael Strahan, Sterling Sharpe, Tony Boselli, Steve Atwater, and Jonathan Ogden are some of my favorite players on this list.

Well, Larry Allen is definitely getting one of those final five spots.

I hope one of those AP guys recognizes how good Bryant Young was as a player and argues to remind everyone that he was just as dominant as John Randle and Cortez Kennedy.

I hope they realize that Stubblefield and Doleman had some great years because of what BY was doing. For instance in 1998, Chris Doleman had 15 sacks on the year, but only 2.5 in the 4 games after BY broke his leg against the Giants. BY had 9.5 sacks in 12 games that year. Hell, that injury arguably lost the 49ers any realistic chance of reaching the Super Bowl.

Bryant Young Stats, Sports Illustrated

Plus, his stats are comparable with Kennedy and Randle, with the exception of Randle having almost 50 more sacks.

I think Bryant Young is a lot like Justin Smith. They do so much that doesn't show up on paper that unless you watched them on a weekly basis their dominance is really lost on you. I don't think the HOF is just about numbers or else guys like Michael Irvin wouldn't be in there. I don't think he should be in there anyway... but that's for another time. So maybe they see that and he gets in. I hope voters are able to see how great the guy was and he gets in there.

before the injury bryant young was the best DT in the game. it was basically him and randle. there's really no dominating DT right now. suh might be the closest

BY was much more dominant than Randle IMO. Randle wasn't very good against the run. The only D-lineman who was close to BY in terms of dominance was Reggie White IMO.

If you consider Ngata a DT, I think he is. And Suh hasn't exactly been great so far this year.
