No I didn't!
well, it is hard to tell without the details of the Draft and the teams involved...
But the way I see it, Tanana and Howard are fringe players at best for any all time draft with restrictions...
So giving those 2 up probably benefited you more than penalized you...
And you are getting the Best pitcher and the best player in the deal... Sure Palmer is close to Feller, but feller was better...
but nobody is really close to Joe Morgan in that deal...
I would rank the players in that deal
1. Joe Morgan-WLK
2. Bob Feller-WLK
3. Jim Palmer-Nos
4. Johnny Bench-Nos
5. Reggie Jackson-WLK
6. Willie McCovey-Nos
7. Dave Winfield-WLK
8. Kenny Lofton-nos
9. Ivan Rodriguez-WLK
10. Frank Howard-Nos
11. 15.5-WLK
12. Frank Tanana-Nos
I could understand overpaying for Bench and Lofton... But its weird because both teams already had very good lead off hitters and very good catchers...
But again, context may make this a more fair trade...
Just found out a girl I have worked with for years died this weekend, she was young like mid 30's and had three young children. What a terrible thing, R.I.P. Vanessa!!
So... what do we do?? College hoops? My super draft idea? something else? I guess I don't wanna do a college draft now as it seems we would lose a few people.
