I would help run it, but I don't have mod privileges, so I couldn't edit the full draft and teams.

I can get you mod privileges but are you prepared to run everything? If we can finish the current draft this weekend I will set everything up for the next one.

Let's finish this one and see what kind of interest there is in putting on an NBA one. Maybe, we can do one of those secret pick type drafts that we have done before. Those are usually quick and somewhat painless.

There's more work in running that than a regular draft and I love how you have...

I'm not backing out. But if this draft ends this weekend and the NBA draft started Monday or Tuesday, there would be a greater chance of me being able to run that type of draft than if I had to start it on a weekend. I would feel much more comfortable starting a regular draft on a weekend.

So, if enough people are down, we can do an NBA draft. 10 players, each plays a half. I'd rather keep the restrictions to a minimum, but I understand people wanting them. Was thinking maybe do something like we did before where there was a list of ineligible players.

I’ve decided I’m going to take a few drafts off. I find these a bit time consuming. I’ll be back in the fall. However if you guys need an extra for a draft please let me know. I’ll be back for that but right now I’m on a draft break.

This is only for a few weeks, maybe a month correct?

I should be back in mid to late September. It’s not permanent. In the meantime I will step in if an extra person is needed.

The 24 Minute NBA Draft II

So, here we are again beginning a new draft. This one is basketball...
The rules are you can draft anyone you want from the history of the game but every player plays 24 minutes and you CANNOT draft more than 1 player per team. Meaning... If you draft Magic you can't have Kareem or Jerry or Kobe!

You will draft 10 total players and to be eligible for the team you pick a player for they must have played with the team for at least 3 seasons.

Once the playoff starts the winning team will be allowed to take one player from the team they defeated but the rules still apply, you cannot have 2 players representing the same team.

NBA Bucket Draft II

We will select 1 player from every bucket. We will have a total of 10 players. Players had to play 5 seasons with the team they are selected for. 3 seasons for the Bobcats. Every player plays 24 minutes.

Bucket 1 : Lakers : Celtics : Bulls
Bucket 2 : Spurs : 76ers : Bucks
Bucket 3 : Cavaliers : Jazz : Rockets
Bucket 4 : Pistons : Mavericks : Timberwolves
Bucket 5 : Knicks : Thunder : Pacers
Bucket 6 : Trailblazers : Warriors : Wizards
Bucket 7 : Nuggets : Suns : Heat
Bucket 8 : Nets : Hawks : Clippers
Bucket 9 : Magic : Pelicans : Raptors
Bucket 10 : Kings : Grizzlies : Bobcats

WE WILL DRAFT : 2PG : 2 SG : 2 SF : 2 PF : 2 C

TRADING OF PLAYERS IS NOT ALLOWED.

TRADING OF BUCKETS IS ALLOWED

EX... You can't just decide in round 9 you will trade Magic & Dirk for MJ & Wade. Once a player is selected he cannot be traded!

EX... You may if you decide you want two players from bucket 3, trade lets say your bucket 2 pick to someone for their bucket 3 pick. You would then have TWO picks from bucket 3 and ZERO picks in bucket 2...

You are NOT allowed to have more than TWO picks in any bucket.

Idea 4

So, we get a partner after we finish drafting 10 players a piece, parts use those 20 players to put together their lineup each player plays a quarter.

Players must have played 100 games at a position to qualify them to be played at said position. I will be using basketball reference to determine if a player qualifies.

You will draft
2 - PG
2 - SG
2 - SF
2 - PF
2 - C

Picks cannot be traded.
Players can be traded but must be traded for players in their phase.

I would decide on phases if this idea is selected.
