Just going to point out that when his name came up after the roster and PS were set, some considered him a waste of space.

IF this kid and Doctson work out, maybe we can put some draft resources into the D-line next year. As it appears we might not be looking for a QB after all.

Yep - glad that these folks were wrong. You are seeing several similar situations for other relatively unknown players on this team - this is a sign of a good FO. As for Cousins - should be a done deal at this time.

3 targets and 3 catches. I like the percentage. Grant simply falls down to much to be anything more than a deep bench player.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Garcon and Jackson next year. It's not working out well for Jackson. He's too frail, imo, to pay what he'll likely get. Garcon has played much more consistently this season, but he's not a field stretcher, and he's not a good red zone target. He's basically James Thrash - solid player who blocks well and helps you get in field goal range.

Alshon Jeffrey is a free agent who's value just took a major hit. He's put up excellent numbers for years on a lousy offense and would give the Skins a red zone threat. We need to see something from Doctson before the year end. And we likely need to draft another WR high - a speedster assuming Jackson leaves - but someone who they think isn't going to be injury-prone. And one thing I think would be smart is to move Matt Jones to WR.

Ross clearly has been written off. Grant apparently runs great routes......if the route includes falling down he must be the best in the league. Doctson is now walking without a boot so maybe he is on the road to recovery. Sure hope we see him before season's end. If he is as good as the FO and staff say he is, it will make the decision on Jackson that much easier. Jackson is a rare talent, but just misses too many games and really is a one trick pony (but that one trick is a really really good trick).

Pass on Jeffery. With the Williams situation they don't need another guy with issues who risks another suspension in his future.

Did you really say move Matt Jones to WR?

Perhaps let DJ and PG go for a Jeffrey then some.

DJ is the great complement to a guy like Doctson. Speed on one side to take safety help while making it a tougher match up on Doctson's side and making the run game better.

There will be plenty of FA WR's to take a look at next year. No need for Garcon or Jackson. A healthy Doctson, Harris, Reed, Davis and say... Britt, Aiken, Floyd, Wright, Patterson etc along with a 3rd - 6th round WR pick will fill in nicely imo.

The only one that has earned the pay check they will receive next season is Jeffrey. You can make an incomplete argument for Britt.

I wasn't so sure Davis earned an opportunity here at the time of his signing but...he has changed my mind. Perhaps one of the guys I mentioned can turn things around as Davis has and change your mind gk. :noidea:

Jeffery hasn't had a real good season since 2014 (understand that a lot of this is related to QB situation) & now has to sit 4 games due to a PED violation. Lots of risks with that situation & ones that I think that SM will avoid.

Davis came here for near league minimum didn't he? I don't think those other names will and will be those overpaid types because they are the best FA offers. Jeffrey is at least dangerous and a proven pro bowler. I wouldn't break the bank but would pay him 12 mil a season over a Patterson at 6 mil...not saying that is what those guys will be paid.

I was impressed by Maurice Harris. Very tall, lanky, and has good hands. Kinda reminds me of someone.

2.3 mil for a backup TE? Yikes! I liked the signing at the time but that was a bigger gamble than I realized.

I was about to mention that the coaches have clearly burried Ross, it's the only explantion for the extended playing time for Grant who has given them nothing.
